My question was: "How does attending a show and being employed makes a deaf school a better school?"

I admire you both for continuing to scream, "I want attention" thus proving me right about some deaf people, really. Even Kelly is laughing at you two right now.

As for deaf schools vs mainstreamed, I really see it as the same. I was mainstreamed for most of my schooling, then went to a deaf school for high school. It just depends on the person, not the school.

How is it a war? Wars usually involves an army, I see only one person. So, Ashley enlighten me -- how can a person start a war against a person if there is no armies?

Right, but as you said you went to a deaf school for your high school years. Keep in mind, even a normal deaf person can be affected by peer pressure by other students in a deaf school. Notice how you and I do not behave the same way and how we both do not adopt the same mentality. See what I mean? Your deaf school changed you a lot during these four years of schooling whereas I have kept the same mentality, and personality throughout my school life.

Well Jordan, of course we behave differently. You're from New York, I'm from Texas, that alone is a lot different. I had a huge circle of friends in both mainstreamed/public, from what I've heard from people at your school, you didn't have that big of a circle of friends. We have very different mentalities.
So regardless of where I went, we would still behave very differently. Even mainstramed, I was a social butterfly, very loud and "in your face" type of person- and that's still who I am today, deaf school didn't change that.

No, statehood has nothing to do with how we behave differently. Take my fiancee for example: She shares my mentality, yet she is from California. Thus, your argument is flawed. How do you know that the people that you spoke to wasn't running off a rumor they made up themselves? How do you know if it's a fact if they have never spent a full day's and night's worth of time with me? Once again, your statement is flawed.

Would you like to prove me that your high school did not change who you are? I bet that your mainstreamed school would be disappointed to discover that you are now a college dropout, and a party girl, huh? You just proved every point I made regarding deaf schools see: my cons.

haha jordan :) i didn't DROP OUT of college. i chose a different career path, like I've said over and over and over on the other forum. that path will be completed by September, and I will have a full time job, so thank you very fucking much, mr "wah wah i cant find a job wah wah i have to go back and get my BA".
and a party girl.. well gee, everyone from my public school parties. so there you go, jordan, it's not only people from deaf schools who party. :) Just look at spring break shows on MTV, 90% of those people are hearing, from other colleges. wow gee damn, if they're partying they MUST be from a deaf school!

Sorry, but you're still a dropout regardless of what you claim you will do. Until I see these plans become a reality. I will regard you as a dropout until that plan is put in motion.

Sorry I don't watch MTV. I'm deaf remember? I've seen deaf school students party much more worse than hearing people. Deaf School students often do not have common sense instilled into them because there are no parents around them to teach them the difference between what's right and wrong. And whining to me about this just proves that I'm right about my cons regarding deaf schools. That tells me you're doing something wrong.

Just like you based your flawed assumptions of me about how I have few friends, how you thought people behave differently based on the state they live in, and that I wear hearing aids when none of them are even true?

You say going back to get my BA is a bad thing? Everyone I know said it was a great idea. Look at me, I got a 3.0 gpa last quarter and what you do? You whined like a deaf school student, "wahh, wahh, I don't like school but I want to be a nurse?" I mean, that screams "I want attention" just like your carebears ((c) jeff) Lauren, and Jeff.
