Okay, I see all urban police officers are using non-lethal weapon, Taser Gun. I wear my CI. If I get tasered for test, will inside of my CI break or what?

Thanks.

I don't know. :dunno:

Why don't you stand in a tub full of water and turn on an electric hairdryer and find out.

(Just kidding folks!)

If you are the kind who gets into fights and trouble with the law, thus increasing your chances of getting tasered by the cops, then maybe a CI isn't a good idea.

I don't worry about getting tasered because I stay out of trouble. Simple.

Umm.. I don't think I'd want to find out. :ugh: I'd rather risk someone's else CI. :D I ain't risking my CI.

BTW, sometimes Tasers are lethal, too. We've had some local casualties from Tasers. (They died.)

Of course, a bullet thru a CI is probably not good either.

VamPyroX, yes, I'll ask my audiologist. Thanks.

Reba, that is funny but I don't think I'd try that. lol And I didn't know that taser gun could actually kill a person. Problem heart, I guess. They should be tasered for 5 seconds only. A bullet thru CI is PROBABLY not good? Well, CI is placed on the head. It means a bullet thru CI and brain. Very lethal. :)

Lucia, heh...I'm not kind of a criminal, bar fight, etc. lol...my major in college is Criminal Justice. Been told, I might get tasered for test...like to see how does it feel when you're being taser.

Well, tell them not to test you since you have a CI...not a good idea. Besides, I've heard that getting tasered is VERY painful!!!:Ohno:

 We were kinda wondering about ya. :squint:

I heard that those with CIs have to avoid high-magnet things such as some roller coasters.

Did you go on the high-magnetized roller coasters such as those in Cedar Point? There's one called the Dragster (I think?).

You mean that it levitates over the tracks not actually touching it? Ummm, you bring up an interesting point as the magnetic field is pretty strong. I suspect though the field is highly local and quickly dissipates distance-wise where the riders sit.

Just think how the riders must of complained when their belts tugged awfully tightly as they rode the ride. :D

Interesting question indeed!

Off hand, I think of the answer of most doctors give when some activity bothers you physically..."Don't do that".

Seriously though, I do know there is a ground for the implant. I guess it depends on where one get tasered as it effects mostly the nerves that control the muscles. The implant is well isolated and grounded and I guess be problematical in its impact on it.

Easy answer...ask the doctor. ;)

I don't think Texas (Astroworld, Fiesta Texas, and Six Flags over Texas) has the high-magnetized roller coasters.....yet. Correct me if I'm mistake. And no, I haven't been to Cedar Point. But interesting. *whisper*...I feel I don't want to ride on any roller coasters...thank to "Final Destination 3" at begin of the movie. hahaha.

I don't know...I was at Six Flags Fiesta Texas last fall but did not bother to go on the rollercoasters, I was more interested in the wave pool (haha). I haven't been to either AstroWorld or to SeaWorld yet. I've never been to Cedar Point, and I don't think I ever will, as it is all the way over in Ohio.
