I used the hump for a pillow.Speaking of older cars, I used to fit into the rear compartment (window) of a VW bug. Top that.
Bench seats were perfect, for when going to a drive-in movie with a date. Anyone remember drive-ins? I have one that is still open about a 30min drive from me. The 2 closest to me closed years ago. One is now a lumber yard, the other is a race track (dirt).

My last time was back in 1979. Movie was The Warriors. I was Jr in HS at that time. Oh, man..all the jocks and tough guys were out hanging by the food shack puffing their chests out. LoL.My friend in WA sometimes goes to the one they have in town during the summer time. I've never gone to one (that I can remember).
I tried to watch this but could not. I was freaking out. Does he make it across safe? If so, I will watch it.Would you attempt to cross the thin bridge? I'd think not... but this driver braved to do it.

You are the first person I ever heard to get CI removed. I didn't know it was a possibility.I went to ENT today, also I already finished the CT with contrast and audiology, so specialist approved the surgery to get CI removed due to pain, so it will be on May 22, so procedure will be based on modern method, not 1996 method. My specialist told me that CT scan is mandatory to determine if CI is easier to remove, or any problems and audiology to check to ensure that ears aren't problem.
but I'm pretty uneasy with general anesthesia and intubation, but can't wait to get all over it.
