I'm sorry. :(

As am I. Ah, well. I can only hope that things will somehow work out, and despite all this, I'm trying to keep my head up high and minimize my stress levels. Best to let it go for now.

I just found out my Dad has had a light stroke, and he can no longer drive his semi truck. My stepmom tells me he's been in and out of the hospital the last month, and they are having it very rough.

:(

AHHHHH!! Broken pipe where I live, and NO WATER. Just great.

TELL ME ABOUT IT!! Not my best start to any week, let's put it that way. And no, it hasn't yet.

So I guess you all have to go buy coffee and eat , it's hard to cook with no water. And I guess it could be getting nasty in the bathrooms not being able to flush the toilets .

Well, hopefully it will be fixed when I return back there in a couple of hours. If not.....

I recommend that you keep a written log of all these problems with your housing situation. It might come in handy when you have to make a case for moving out early.

I actually already do have a solid case, but breaking the lease early without proof would be hard to do, so not only written, but photodocumented would go a LONG way in making my case.

I learned that "You can do homework tomorrow no problem" really means "yeah, you can work on your homework but first finish these three things then be ready to jump up and do whatever else I need you to do".

I don't have time to be out at my mom's in the first place, especially not if I'm not getting homework done. :(

Yesterday i learned that signing is easier than i thought....learned the asl alphabet, #s 1-20 & common words/terms. Im having fun all along

Update on the pipe situation here. Still not fixed :mad2: Ah, well. At least I have Reba's suggestion to thank, because with written/photodocumented proof, it would make it extremely difficult to dispute.

knives and I do not get along. Actually, I learned this last night while cutting up some pumpkin to cook/puree. my left thumb HURTS from a cut lol. Also have some blisters on a finger on my right hand, shew pumpkins are tough to cut/peel!

I just found out that I'll be getting free AMC Movie Theater tickets this Friday. That's totally AWESOME, as it's been years since I last went to see a movie. Also learned that a friend is giving me a free webcam for my HP laptop. Now that's how my week can start reversing itself to the better side. :P

That the burst pipe in the basement did more damage than was estimated, and I won't have my shower back until the end of the day tomorrow. That irks me greatly. However, they do have a 72-hour time frame to get repairs done, but the problem is that it's already exceeded 24, so now I need to consult with someone about that, as City law mandates it be fixed within 24 hours, and it's already past 36.

Hmm. Says that I don't have much of a case if they're making an effort to fix the problem within the 72-hour time frame, which they are, so there goes that. However..... there's still two others I can make a case on-- the bug problem and the CO2/Fire Alarm requirements mandated by law. Turns out that getting a visible CO2/Fire Alarm is a Federal AND State law, and since my unit has neither, that's gonna be a sticky point for them, since they were the ones who asked me to look into that back in September.
