Black pastors bash NAACP for endorsing gay marriage

It can include sexual harassment but it's not always that. If the person being approached says no, and the asker goes away, then it's not usually called sexual harassment.

It's not always touching.

The question was, why would a gay guy try pick up a straight guy for sex?

I've had straight women hit on me a few times. Every single time my college friend got drunk, she would hit on me....very strange, especially as I wasn't out back then.

So marriage is just about breeding? What about childfree couples or older couples or whatver? Marriage is not just about having kids...............
Good point! BTW, some people get married for tax purposes, inheritance, etc.

Really? So you believe that parents should kill their disobentient children or that eating shrimp is a sin?
Of course not. You're not going to play that straw man again, are you? I'm not going to allow you to draw me into endless rabbit trail debates that will lock this thread for sure. Really, the disobedient children/eating shrimp game is so worn out.

But it specificly says that in the Bible. Also Jesus NEVER EVER said anything about GLB realtionships being right or wrong. Neither did he say anything about interracial marriages, marriages between a believer and a non believer and many many others.

That's true but at my workplace, it's still called sexual harrasment when a co-worker asks another co-worker for sex even only once. Sexual harrasment is one of zero tolerances.

Long time ago when I was around 20s, I had been approached by gay guys several times at gay bars where I went with my deaf gay friend. I told them that I am straight. Some of them said "it doesn't matter". Some said "try it, you will like it". Some said "damn". They were very disappointed when they failed to turn me into gay.
If you're not gay, why would you go to a gay bar? Wouldn't you expect to be approached for pick up there?

Yup, I won't recommended because there are plenty of ignorant people in any clubs, even straight or gay.

The club isn't always for me but it does worsen my social anxiety. :ugh:

thing about marriage..........YOU yourself can interpret and practice marriage how YOU see fit. You can have a Focus on the Family type marriage, you can have a libral marriage, you can have an open marriage, and so on.......it's just like with family. There's no one defintiion of family......families come in all shapes and sizes. So does marriage....and believe it or not there is gay religious marriage!!!! The Unitarians and other churches have marriages for GLB people.

How is she "straight" if she's hitting on another woman?

In my book, drunken women hitting on other women is immoral, and sad.

I went to gay club with my friend in Navy Yard, it is in DC and it has male strippers. It was fun but I got flirted by 46 years old deaf man, he is my friend and Gally student.

Reba, if it's so clear that GLB realtionships are a "sin" then how come there are MAINLINE Christian churches that are accepting it? Times are changing....and 40 years ago I have a feeling there were many many simlair conversations between pro interracial marriage people and people who were against it.

because she is your granddaughter.

I'm going tell her to make brownies and send an apology note to you for being disrespect at grandparent.

I had a deaf gay friend and I am open-minded. BTW, they respected me so there was no problem. Sometimes a straight woman went there to pick up two gay guys for a threesome. As for me, I went there to get drunk, enjoy loud music and have chats with friends all night long. I was young and I had good times. Alot of gay people including lesbians have a great sense of humor.

Mainline Christians are usually neutral, indifferent or accept, it is depending on person to person.

Why are you even mentioning interracial marriages? The Bible doesn't say there's anything wrong with interracial marriages, and neither do I. So?

The Bible very definitely says that a believer should not marry an unbeliever.

The Bible very clearly states that marriage is for one man and one woman. Also according to the Bible, any sexual relationship outside of the marriage of that one man and that one woman is sin.

Sure, anyone can say and do anything they want. Churches (at least in America) can say and do whatever they want. That's not the point. Just because something is allowed by the law or society doesn't make it right. Slavery and segregation used to be allowed and supported by law and society, and even some churches in America. That doesn't make it right.

No idea, and I found that freaking hilarious. I loved her dearly and she was a dorm buddy, but wasn't attracted to her at all!

There are many so-called Christian churches that accept lots of things that don't follow orthodox Christian beliefs. They drift around with whatever is culturally popular, expedient, and pc. That's not Bible.

Race is not the same as sexual behavior. There is no comparison. The Bible doesn't teach against interracial marriage.

Yes, slavery, segregation etc were supported by the CONSERVATIVE churches! It was a MAINLINE thinking. It wasn't just a few churches...which is proof that thinking on things like that EVOLVES...........Just like thinking and acceptance on gay marriage will evolve!!!!
