Mystery of Motivation! What the hell are you?

Not even if it were heated, had running water, and an automatic pooper-scooper? Let's ponder this for a minute.

(It might be a good place for a coupl'a dogs to shack up, if you know what I mean. Is that biological or psychological?)

I had in mind a dog house with no water or pooper scooper. Would a dog care about running water if there is a nearby pond? Humans certainly would.

As for dogs mating needs, biological. I wonder how we can test for psychological needs? Where's jillo when you need her? :hmm:

My motivation to do 65 push-ups each day is becuase I have the pressure from the FB group I joined to commit to do 65 pushups a day. Got over thousands of people counting on me so my motivation is physological.

All I will say on this, my motivating factor is the the care and keeping of my family and the great rewards I get in return. The absolute love I get from my cats for their care and keeping, not to mention their treats.

I am motivated by a person's words at time. Some good and some bad.

I know that in order to achieve some things, I must be motivated to work towards that goal.

Other things will never motivate me.

mmm I think pleasure is the main drive in my life. You could say that I am an epicurean but there's also a desire to improve the lives around me as well.. :hmm:

You made me remember something - In Georgia, at a house we rented. There was a 2 section doghouse that was a replica of the house we rented. In the Summer, the dog got the A/C with the running water for the water bowl. In the winter, there was the side with the heater and the heated water bowl. We still had to clean the poop and fill the food bowl. The area was fenced in and the fences were 8 feet all around. There was also a huge shade tree there. We let our poodle/scottie mix stay in there when she wanted and she loved it. Now, when the ice storm was coming, she did beg to come in and we let her.

Oh Shel, I think you miss the magic of booze. It wakes you up!

Getting older, all it does is make me more sleepy now. When I was in my 20s, it gave me energy to dance all night. Now, it just makes me just want to sit there and go blaaahh.

Ooops, I better get working on doing my 65 for the day. I pulled a neck muscle this morning while hauling a huge bag of frozen chicken from the basement freezer. First time I ever did that in my life. Not a good feeling at all.

Have your hubby haul the bag of frozen chicken! I'm sure you can motivate him to do so. :giggle:

I had my days and they were something else. When you get so low as to not be able to walk over a speed bump and have to have a 90 y/o man help you up the stairs, then to top it off, have a co-worker telling all the construction workers the next day that you are not at your teller station in the bank because you "are paying reverence to the porcelain alter", you know it's time to give it up.

After that, whenever I tried anything, I would get very sick. Guess I learned pretty well.
