Any meat lovers out there?

I have always found breast rather bland and dry thats why i always use thighs

I don't like dark meat but the white meaty breasts instead. They're succulent when basted in with the right amount of sauce. When done right they'll turn out soft and moist.

Ditto. I always get much better results with thighs. Thighs are the best tasting part of the chicken, IMO. Best results I get with the breast are when I use a Montreal dry rub+olive oil and grill on the Weber. The Montreal seasoning is perfect on white meat.

I fried a chicken a couple weeks ago that came out great. I marinated in buttermilk and Louisiana hot sauce. Even the breasts were tender and juicy, but they just couldn't match up with the other parts of the chicken.

its pretty tough call to make. I LOOVE flank steak. I love many cuts of beef- many things to make. I love various cuts of chicken, turkey, pig, lamb.

My god! I just love cooking with meats. period!!!

Im told that lamb isnt very popular in America is that true?

There are lamb meat sold in grocery stores. Thing is that cow, pig, chicken cuts are sold more then lamb. I am even guilty of passing over lamb in favor of getting other animals meats due to costs.

How about pictures of your dinner? Although I don't think people would very often take pictures of their yummy meal.

A Fistful of Awesome - So many tough choices

Moderation is key.

I used to be meat lover, but not anymore now. BBQ baby back ribs is my favorite number one meat. Gyro beef is my next meat. Ribeye steak n' prime rib are my hero gourmet.

Meat lover means that you still like eating meat. It doesn't mean meat crazy or eat meat every single day. I like to have my occasional BBQ flank steak marinated for a full day once in a while. Seems like you still love eating your favorite meat.

I've tried marinated, vacuumed packed bison meat that was later cooked on a grill. I never tasted anything like that. It was absolutely the most succulent meat I've ever tasted.

For cooking terms, succulent actually means the food is wet with a high liquid content.

When I have eaten bison, I found it to be dry and strongly flavored. I didn't like it.

But it is supposed to be lower fat and healthier as meats go.

It was succulent! Not even dry. It basically melted in my mouth.

Restaurant, or cooked at home?

On my neighbors BBQ grill. I could smell it. Stepped outside in my backyard and talked to him. He said he was BBQing bison meat and asked if I want to try a bite. I did. I was gobsmacked at the pure deliciousness of that meat. It came from out of Montana. Forgot the name of the business that sells it. :(

Hmmm, the stuff I see in the store is this:

8$ for a 1lb package, but it makes a hell of a burger. I made one up with bacon, and topped with roasted garlic and melted blue cheese. Best. Burger. Ever.

My girlfriend couldn't handle bison. She is so used to crappy, tasteless, low quality ground beef that her tastebuds were just assaulted. She's a picky eater and it's hard for her to try new things. I tried to tell her it was just like beef only better. Oh well. I had her burger too. :thumb:

One thing I love about bison is how lean it is. The burgers don't shrink more than a centimeter, at the most, when you grill them.

I truely love ribs... Shit,Im hungry. Thanks! Alligator taste like chicken and raccoon taste like roast beef. Once a yr in Ohio, we have raccoon dinner event. Im sure some of you know heard of it. Porterhouse is dilicious so is ribeye and t-bone steak. Lamb is ok. I always eat chicken and hamburgers. Shrimp is good and I love clams. Seafood is excellent food. I like Bison burgers as well. We have big meat store around here and they sell Bison meat. I love ham and turkey. EVERYTHING!!! :)

I love meat.

I am terrible cook, though, so I don't really recognize kind of cuts.
So I simply like - a best steak, pork sirloin, lean chops, lean ribs,
lamb is OK as long as it doesn't have this peculiar taste and smell,
- fish: salmon is my favorite and halibut,

and poultry, yeah anything but mostly chicken and turkey.
