Koko, anyone can get anyone's IP without them realizing it or not.
It doesn't have to be limited to mod only. There are ways to achieve this here without administration involved.

Let's see. FJ has been posting wirelessly all afternoon. She challenged us to report it to the mods and we would see it isn't the same IP address. Then, all of a sudden Deafguy25 logs on. My guess: she is using somewhere other than her home computer to log on as Deafguy in an attempt to throw the IP addresses off. Thing is, they have already been tracked way prior to when she thought she could prepare for it.

And now, Deafguy has logged out.

Question comes to mind of non-mods or non-owner actively monitoring IP addresses of AD members. And who should be making the real determination on resolving any IP addresses issues.
