Boy do I feel stupid

Oh and this happened to me... Pants on, then put on underwear..........

o.O

Kind of reminds me of that 'Quailman' from a Nicktoon back in the 1990's.

Ooh, my turn!

A little over a week ago I went for a bike ride. To be safe, I always take my cell phone, DL, and credit card in a little pouch with a strap I hang from my handle bars.

When I came home I was distracted because I was running late, my son would be getting off the bus VERY soon. I set down my phone while hanging my bike up on hubby's car - in windshield area just below the wipers and just above where the hood ends. And... forgot.

This was on a Thursday. I was looking for my phone on Friday - letting it ring hoping my hubby would hear it. Later found it in the garage where I put it down without thinking. Of course, my husband had driven his car to work and home, 25 miles, with my phone, DL, and credit card in their pouch, on the bottom of his windshield!

I couldn't believe my luck still having them there!!! Whew.

About a year ago, I was defrosting the freezer. It's a newer (just a few years old) model that doesn't need to be defrosted the same way the old models are. But we were having a problem with the water line freezing up, so we defrosted it and let it thaw out completely. It did the trick.

However! I was seeing a weird piece of white that I couldn't identify, I didn't know if it was a piece of ice stuck in the back or what. My SO was on the phone with our friend talking about defrosting the freezer. Our friend, who is a refrigerator expert said, "I bet that's the fan. Don't touch it".

What did I do? I stuck my finger in it. OWIE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow you were lucky!

Don't I KNOW it!!!

I brought them in the house - COMPLETELY stunned knowing how far they'd traveled. And with my luck... well it just should have been different. I'm not used to things turning out in my favor.

I remember a time when I was maybe 17 or 18, I was looking all over the house for my sunglasses, probably spent about 2 hours turning everything upside down and only found them when I looked in the mirror in the bathroom...they were on my head.

Believe it or not, I ran back into my burning house to look for my hearing aids, and I was wearing them all the time. Dang, smoke fills the house FAST and I was at the point of passing out when I found the door and staggered out.

I once left the keys in the ignition and left the car running for 4 hours. I was at work, a good 45 minutes away from home, and no way to get the spares, so had to have a locksmith come out. :( I've never done that again since!

You called locksmith??? I would call a cop so he can use a slim jim to open the door for free.

They won't do that here anymore. They haven't in a long time. They'll only do it if a child or animal is stuck in the car.

the slim jim does not work on all cars anymore. Or perhaps the cops have a different version from what I have seen?

it's very easy - they put the wooden wedge in the door to pry it open just enough to guide the heavy metal wire with hook to pull the lock. takes only 20 seconds.

if your car is equipped with OnStar... just call'em. if your car is difficult to get in despite of other methods.... last resort is to break your window.

I understand you very well! I never pick up drinking as I knew I would end up an alcoholic just like my dad! I am a lot like dad and had to work very hard to break the abusive patten that been passed down from my dad's dad and his dad etc! I was able to finally beak the abusive patten .
One alcoholic can mess up a lot of people life's and I was not going to let my dad drinking mess up my daughter's life! It feel good knowing that I broke a abusive patten that been passed down from one generation to the
next! I am sorry for going way off the topic .

patten? You forgot the r.

Im sorry to hear about your family's history. Alcoholism runs very deep in my family.

It is very disturbin' ppl know about your family's history and label you an alcoholic just b/c of your family's history. I dealt with that shit. My drivin' record is excellent.

I just dont know how alcoholics can keep up with their drinkin'. I just find it very insane.

A friend of mine joined the military service and came back home a bigger drunk. This guy cannnot keep a control of his booze. One day, he actually pulled out in front of motorcycle. The biker lived and my friend blew .28. YIKES! He cant keep a job b/c of his drinkin' or get a lady. He is still around and always by himself. I did saw him one day at Walmart and I ignored him. I dont want to deal with his bullshit.

I don't think it safe to use slim jim on cars that an automatic opener on them. My daugther had a warning on her car so no one try to use a slim jim on her car as they could get an electrical shock.

I did not realize I spell pattern wrong!! I am horrible at spelling ! Thanks! I bet you where thinking HUH!! LOL! I driving was not always good, when I was younger I was not as careful. But I am very careful now!
My dad had his own business so did not have to worry about his drinking.
And I hate to say this but you could pay cops off a lot easier when my dad was alive! My dad got pulled over for driving drunk and he paid the cop off to NOT get a ticket!! My mom and I where in the car too! The cop let my dad who was an old man , 73 years old drive home drunk!! I was really angry that the cop allowed dad to drive us home! When we got home I was going to call and report the cop taking a bribe, but my mom did not want to get the cop
in trouble or dad!! I was pissed off as that cop put us at risk and other drivers allowing my dad to drive drunk!!
