What did you learn today? Part II

Learned not to leave anything edible on the patio!....Had some old bread in a bag that I feed the Geese once in awhile....Happened to look out the glass door late evening yesterday and I'll be darn! A Raccoon was out there!...There are also Possums in some of the trees aligning the River.

The Raccoon was kind of cute, tho'. He finally went on his way. Keeping my doggie on a short leash now these days!...Dunno if a Raccoon would attack dogs, just not taking any chances.

coons are poisonous. beware.

RR, why did you leave edible out on the patio? I am not sure if you were talking differently about edible, not fruit basket?

PFH ~ Thought racoons have rabies, but poisonous? I will google it up. At this time, I lived in DC. I happen to have a row house on the top and I laid down on the roof to bake myself under the sun. That day was a very very hot, humidity and very sunny, around 95 degrees or so. Luckily that I decided to open my eyes and looking at other row houses of the top and spotted the raccoon. It was coming toward to me. Racoon was too thirsty when racoon saw the leftover water look like pond on the roof on the right next to my row house. I was freaking out and ran into inside my apartment. Couple of minutes racoon walked over my roof to the next row house and drank it up and staring at me through the window. :eek3: Racoon was pretty huge! It was a bigger size than cat's size.

What I meant by "edible"...is that there is no certain time when the Geese stroll by..and no certain time when I'm able or just want to relax on the Patio...so any old "Bread" I put into a plastic bag and keep it out there for the Geese whenever I see them/or I'm out there. Anything "edible" means anything you can eat...but we don't want to eat old bread, and the Geese don't mind eating the old bread. They even eat Squash, and probably anything else they can gobble up!

As far as the Raccoon, it was bigger than my doggie (a Pomeranian). I'm sure Raccoons (some of them) have Rabies....and think PFH was just "joking" about being poisonous....(he was referring to a snake that was on my patio) awhile back, a water moccasin, which is highly poisonous when they bite.

This could be a good thing family-wise. Did he get bumped?

No, they go back and forth each year and make the guys work 2nd shift for a few months to build up the ice cream reserves. Problem is, sales are so far down, that they can't have the 2nd shift running as long as usual.

Learned my Uncle does not have Alzheimer's like he thought. He was just lacking in a lot of vitamins and was told he needed to eat more meat due to some medical issues he has.

I learned some people get really angry when you don't play into the traps they try to set up.:giggle:
