What did you learn today? Part II

 I was going to suggest leaves or kitty litter (or gravel) but I figured you had to have thought of that already. Sounds like the chickens aren't all that stupid ;)

They are intelligent to a point, after that it's a lost cause.

Oh BTW I forgot to post what I learned yesterday so here it is:

I learned I am a Judas. A bit disturbing but I'm thinking if I am then I need to throw myself out the way Judas did.

You took 30 pieces of silver to betray someone?

No, not quite. But I realized I am like Judas in the sense that I heard the messages and followed along just as the other apostles but maybe I don't believe? Maybe I need to take this to PM-land?

Would be lost on me. I don't know enough about it.

In a nutshell:
Judas was one of the 12 disciples and would be the one to betray Jesus to the Romans. He followed Jesus for three years and was even trusted enough by the other apostles that he was selected to be the group's treasurer. He betrayed Jesus in the garden for 30 pieces of silver. He pointed Jesus out by kissing him, not just walking with the guards and saying "Hey, he is the one." He kissed and hugged Jesus then the guards took over from there. Judas made off with 30 pieces of silver. Some time later Judas felt so bad and remorseful for what he had done that he hung himself - he condemned himself to Hell while Jesus died and ascended to Heaven. Judas was a false apostle. He never actually believed despite what he had seen and heard over the three years he followed Jesus. I hope that clarified it without getting too religious-y.

Ok. So I guess you are afraid that in your heart you are not sincere in your beliefs?

Pretty much. Sad isn't it? I guess that's what I get. Meh. I'm not talking to my pastor about this- he would try to force me into something I don't want to do. There's an urgency to do something - just not that.

Maybe you can talk to Reba in pm since I think you are the same religion?

She is Independent Baptist where I am Southern Baptist. There are doctrinal differences, but overall the same.

I learned the sign for " rabbit " =] We had to tell our teacher what we did during the weekend using only signs. I told her, Saturday I worked all day but Sunday I bought myself a rabbit! I didn't know the sign so I spelled it out but voila! I know how to do it know lol <3 <3

My youngest daughter might be losing her hearing in the "good ear." I'm just stunned. (thread in Parenting forum)
Well, this may come to an surprise... recently I found out my sister went to hearing centre to test her hearing, and she has conductive hearing loss - which was temporarily and it may return - who knows? My sister is the youngest out of three sisters I have.

New to me, is it a hearing condition that makes you go deaf than the hearing returns to normal?

Learnt today from an hour long discussion from my course director at university in regards of my units in the near future. Some of you recall me complaining about discrete mathematics which I fully hate and it was told that I no longer need to do this specific unit in part of my course anymore - yay!

My teacher/lecturer/course director will be granting me a special permission to replace these difficult-level mathematics units with more easier maths methods units which I will be doing it in 2012 which will be great and I will be doing easier units for the rest of the year which I will do the following

I.T in Workplace
Graphic Design related unit
Software Engineering technology 1
Web Design and Programming < --- this unit is what I have been looking forward to because this will be going to be very easy as I have a very extensive experience in web design.

Also, by the looks of this, I am back on track to graduate in 2013

Feel free to PM me if you'd be more comfortable chatting with someone who doesn't know you all that well (and thus you don't have to worry about judgementalism) - I enjoy listening to people, and things like what you're talking about are an interest of mine.

My daughter is stuck in Grinnell, Iowa.
She's moving to Utah and the car ran out of oil (and the previously working idiot light decided not to work) and ruined the engine. Her traveling companion's mom is flying out to "rescue" them.
Meanwhile, her hubby is in (or near) their new home, but can't move the stuff into the apartment till tomorrow. Hubby and his father drove out a day ahead of my daughter with the bare necessities in a van.
I'm glad/thankful his parents and their friends are helping them with the move.

I learned that I have mild to moderate cirucation problems in my legs which is why my diabetic ucler is taking so long to heal and that I may need surgery either for my ciriculation or my ucler. It wasn't clear to me which one. :eek2:

:( Not good, but needed. My husband had vascular surgery done on one of his legs.

I learned that my brother is also Bi-Polar. I am beginning to think this runs in the family.
