Post Your Last Purchase

Ordered USB cable for my phone to plug to my computer. It was only 7 cents on Amazon.com. I couldn't find my old one, oh well.

This was the biggest bid I made on in August. A precious bit of Deaf History.

Yup, rare book I got. 1st Edition. Published in 1873, I think.

This is a book of poetry written by a Deaf woman who was also an journalist during the Civil War. She used to go by as Howard Glyndon.
Hope it didn't cost you an arm and a leg to get that book but would it be valuable in the future?

Ouch! Yeah, I looked up the price. Dammmnnnn. Why are books about sign language always so damn expensive! Although, the third edition is much cheaper. I am thinking of buying it for my own personal study.

How are you liking it so far? Would it be accessible for an intermediate level signer?

It's accessible to anyone in college at my college bookstore :P
so im sure it could be accessible to you too..
whether its something you understand what's inside who knows..
im reading it for my last sign language class *asl 7* pretty indepth stuff.. i think you'd have to have some knowledge of the language and its linguistic bg you learn in other asl classes ...you can always try reading it.. and see for yourself.

A little condescending, but thanks anyway...

I bought a clapper for my aquarium. Now the fish think I am God.
