and I will ask you what seems like a stupid question, but it is not.

How does a hearing person communicate with another scuba diver underwater?

I would guess that signals are determined before hand, or are standard in the diving world, it's not like you need to have a conversation down there.
 
If we Deafies want to stay underwater for a long period of time, it would be so much fun signing to one another in full ASL.

How can you fully communicate in vocal with another person in between glass wall and one cannot hear you?
 
lol there are signals but for the more experienced and divers who have lots of $ to spend there are speakers and mics in their scuba gear so I believe they can hear each other just not speak back because of the breathing apparatus

I don't understand the question.

If you mean: Why do hearing people get into car accidents three times as much as deaf people?

I would say: Still, percentage wise, there would be a much larger percentage of deaf people being in car accidents.

Why do the hearing people stereotype too much between hard of hearing people who can speak well and deaf who cannot?

Answer: Ignorance.
 
Why do the hearing people think and view Cochlea Implant as a miracle cure when in reality, it isn't?

It's math and It's confusing.

Lets use this example.

Let's say that white drivers get into accidents 3 times as much as black drivers.

There are only 10% black drivers that means a larger percentage of them are getting in an accident.

In order for it to be equal whites would have to get into 10 times as many accidents.

In oder for your example to work hearing drivers would have to be a 3:1 ratio to deaf drivers.

ps we have had stats on here before SOMEWHERE and deaf drivers ARE safer drivers than hearing drivers because we don't get as destracted by noise ie music, talking, cell phone talking in the car...so we pay more attention ..trust me I was hearing for a year before I started losing it more when I started driving and PERSONALLY I'm a better driver because I'm more aware...so eat that...

and btw as someone who is mixed with BLACK i'm also offended by this stupid analogy that you wrote..love how it had to be WHITE vs BLACK...if you keep putting deaf ppl down and other races for that matter I assure you your time here will be not only limited but interesting, for you, in general...see how far you get before the rest of the forum complains about you

Yeah. The last guy who derided the deaf and told me that I needed a new brain because according to his logic, I should be pro SEE and pro oral because I have a CI :roll: lasted only a couple of days.
