College Football Is HERE!!

Man it was sure nice to see the beat down Utah put on BYU. BYU is very good team; I am quite impressed that they did beat both TCU and BYU. The opening season game when we beat Michigan would have been worth something if Michigan and Rich Rodriquez didn't turn out so much like garbage this year. I am happy all the cards fell into place once again for UofU and they now have done it in 2004 and 2008- pretty honerable feat. I doubt they will have opportunity to squeeze into National Championchip game, but I seen stranger things happen. I hope they represent our alumni well in whatever BCS bowl we get invited to. If we get to go to Fiesta Bowl again, Im thinking I'll head down to Arizona to see it.

Take me with you if you go down to Fiesta Bowl! :fingersx:

How far is Corvallis Or from you? dang, that Utah and OSU game was INSANE crazy finish here in Salt Lake City. it was the game after they took USC out.

Texas whipped Texas A&M 49-9 making their own statement... I'm glad for them!

I watched little of Boise State-Fresno State game and almost vomited by a sore sight of their BLUE football field. Yuck! lol

Doug, Utah is something else... still undefeated and ranked 6th - Congrats!

Now it comes more exciting later today with three key games for the BCS; Auburn at #1 Alabama, #4 Florida at #20 FSU, and #2 Oklahoma at #12 Oklahoma State!

There are few good games out there as well. Enjoy!

Utah has soooo suprized me with 3 of their wins where I wasn't thinking they'd win while I was there....all wonderfull, gut wrenching, heart pounding, classics. I guess thats what a good team is supposed to do though is win those that they might not should have won, which is definately Utah did on a couple occasions this year.

Yeah I started watching the game on the Smurf Turf, but that is hard on the eyes, seriously it is difficult to watch an entire game on that stuff. Glad they did win again though. Does that finish off the "at large" BCS births there will be this year? What happens with Ball St.?

Yup!

Same with my eyes trying to catch players' numbers or something on all-blue field... terribly hard to catch on! Wonder why they blued it... duh! lol

Ball State is ranked #15 and 11-0 now.

In an half hour later Florida-FSU game starts.... Yay! :D

Rivaly week always RULES, but the whole deal of GT beating UGa SUCKS, IM pissed.

Haha, saw Kansas just beat Mizzouri

Oh and BTW go OSU to beat OREGON and shut USC out of ROSE BOWL..

OK, thats all

#15 Missouri upset by unranked Kansas, wow!

#23 Oregon beat #17 Oregon State!

#1 Alabama shut down Auburn... 36-0!

#4 Florida whipped #20 FSU 45-15 in the downpour rain! :D

#3 Oklahoma won shootout with #12 Oklahoma State 61-41!

Now Big 12 South Champion has to be determined by BCS itself tmw to play Missouri for the Big 12 championship game next weekend. I'm quite considered for Texas because there is a 50/50 possibility for OU to pass over Texas by BCS results, but let's find out for sure by tmw early evening...must be some headache for the BCS voters!

Florida plays Alabama for the SEC championship game in Atlanta next Sat... both are resulting conference games then those winners shall qualify for the BCS championship game!

The Longhorns are deserve to be number 2 and BCS National Champion since they already beat the Sooners by 10 points (45-35), period! No question! Otherwise, the riot starts in Austin, Texas!

Yeah, that UF/FSU game was interesting in that pouring rain in Tallahasee. USC-notre Dame = dumbest game of year to watch.

I underestimated Oregons offense (or over estimated OSU's tackling capabilities)

Too bad for University of Utah pretty much 0 chance at national title, but I do not want to see another Utah Utes beating down a Big East team for second time in 4 years in BCS. (this year would be Cincinatti, 2004- Pitt)
Man I want UF and Utah to square off with former Ute coach Meyer against former Defensive coordinator (of Urban Meyer) here in Utah.

I agree that Texas should remain #2 after the BCS update today since they beat Oklahoma fact to face plus their tougher schedule. Texas still need to win Big 12 championship game first to qualify for the national championship game.

Today's BCS updated... Oklahoma leaped over Texas as #2!

Riot starts now!

It ain't so fair to Texas Longhorns, no question... BCS system sucks! High time to replace it with a playoff system.

Florida has a chance to enter the national championship once they beat Alabama and Oklahoma to beat Missouri this coming Saturday then both qualify for the BCSCG... If so, then Florida Gators shall beat Sooners to appease the Longhorn fans! :cool2:

Sorry, but if Oklahoma loses to Mizzouri Saturday I will laugh so hard. Then the whole Big 12 south could be shut out of BCS game?!

If Oklahoma loses to Mizzoz, Texas will enter the BCSCG likely.

It's what I hope for but doubt Mizzoz could stop a very good Oklahoma team. Mizzoz lost to who-who last weekend btw.

If Missouri beats Oklahoma, then they would take up another guaranteed BCS position, dropping somebody else out of question.

Div 1-AA does playoff system, what the hell is wrong with BCS, everything. Oh well, they gonna just create a lot of pissed off college football fans.
