People that know me, know that I have an insane fear of frogs and toads. It doesn’t matter, which one, I am scared of both of them. Let me tell you, I am scared to death of them. To other’s it’s hilarious, even tease me about it. Fun and games, I don’t mind being picked on about it, until someone daring enough brings a REAL frog near me. Of course I lose all control, things get knocked down, I bump into things trying to get away, and screaming my bloody murder screams. My screams can be heard from far away, and this always ends in other’s laughing.

Tonight, I go outside, get some fresh air like I do every night. I sit in my lawn chair, pet the cats, and enjoy the quiet. While giving my animals attention, one of my cats darted out towards the yard and catches something. Usually it’s mouse or something like that. I was not alarmed but I did want to see her prize from her hunting skills. As I started towards her, she dropped what was in her mouth. Curiosity got the better of me and I looked down to find it. Out hops a frog! I scream and jump away, my cat goes after the frog again. I guess my motherly instincts kicked in, because the next thing I realize, I am trying to save the frog from a horrible death. I tried to scare my cat away from the frog, so it could get away. It must have misunderstood me because it hopped right towards me. With that, I jumped back, hit the side door of my car, and almost knocked myself out. I screamed so loud that even my own ears rang. In the end, the frog gets away, but even thinking about this ordeal makes my heart race. I wonder if the neighbors think I am crazy for screaming at the ground. Hmm. Oh wait, I am crazy. lol

lllllllllllllllloooooooooooooooooollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll oh you poor one

Awww...u did the right thing!

Does that mean your fear of frogs is cured?

I'm sorry...I couldn't help but giggle when I read your story because I am the same way with snakes! My once caught a black snake on the bike trail, and brought it into the yard. I was screaming and ran in the back door and locked him out. He thought it was so funny, and I was shaking like a leaf! Even my neighbor came over to see what was going on!:giggle: I told him I would not unlock the door until he took the damned snake back where he got it!

just by reading everybody's stories in here... it gives me creep :Ohno:

 I had to laugh but at least you did the right thing! My son found a frog two days before we left for the trip. We had to let it go in the creek near my hubby's work. That's the best place for the frog because around here, where's water??? Only pool? Noo best is creek or pond. :)

I killed two frogs when I was at RIT by sitting down on the path in the woods to look at snails in the water. When I got up, I saw that I accidentally sat on two frogs buried in the dirt.

This is my post #1000!

Frogs everywhere thank you for your heroic action.:P

I didnt mean to laughs~! :D I do not like frogs too  :)

I understand how you feel. I have a phobia of big bugs, and we have them here in Texas. I had one come into the house the other night and I had a panic attack right there and then. I freaked out, but managed to get rid of the bug, thankfully.

Jasmine - I like the part where you scream so loud that your ears were ringing.

That brings up my memory of my brother handing me a garter snake and he asked me to show it to my sisters (I am the youngest and I was little at that time). Well, both sisters came over to see what I was holding. They both back away real fast. Real funny.

Yikes! remind me to buy ear muff when you going to scream

kidding aside, its good thing you saved a frog's life even thou you have a fear of them. Hopefully your cat wont catch the frogs again for meal lol.

I thought it was funny. excuse me. I am afraid of snake and spider!

LOL, I am glad you all thought it was funny. :) I didn't at the time but now it's ok. I am ok now. Hopefully I won't have to save any more from my cats.
