Hulu and ABC.com cc missing ...AUGH!

Have anyone noticed lately that freshly uploaded shows on Hulu marked with CC symbols doesnt have a way to turn on the CC's? I was getting ready to watch Storm part 2 with the CC, but whoooa the cc symbol inside the player was missing even tho the guide said the episode had cc on it. Same went for E-5 of American Road Trip too. All other episodes had the CC but none since this week. I also wanted to watch E-4 of Hell's Kitchen S-6 on Hulu with CC's, but there were none forcing me to watch it on Fox.com with CC's enabled.

Also on ABC.com, I wanted to watch "I survived a Japanese game show". E-1 to E-4 had CC's, but E-5 on had no cc's available..my ass.

Have Hulu and ABC.com been getting too damned lazy to add the CC's to their online episodes? its driving me batty...

Wow, I didn't think any of the shows on Hulu were CC'd. Every time I would try to watch something on there I couldn't find any with CC.

Yep, I noticed it,too. I don't know what happened. Some think it's glitch. Others think they are getting lazy. I tried to view Lost that just came out, but there is no CC. There are several reports on Hulu discussion board, so you are not alone.

If you look at the screen shots above, you can find the cc symbol on some shows, but not all what is inside Hulu.

Yes. I saw that too and I've contacted them about it. So far no reply.

I've also been making a lot of posts about it.

Here's what I suggest. Let's all contact them about it but do so in a civil manor. This will likely get better results then just telling them you're mad.

Let them know that you appreciate all the effort they've put into adding CC to their videos because in truth Hulu.com has put more effort into it then any sites that stream TV episodes and movies. So let them know that it's appreciated by those of us who need the CC. It'll also make them realize that their are many of us who do need them. If they don't get much feedback about that they might start to think it's not worth their time to add the CC.

Send them to support@hulu.com and also post in the forum when you find episodes that don't have CC (or say it has CC but doesn't).

If they reply to my Email about it I'll let you all know what they say.

Hulu announced that they're aware of the CC problem and are currently working on it.

I noticed the same thing when I was trying to watch #4 of Hell's Kitchen earlier this afternoon.

I wish Hulu was available for those outside the US!! We don't even have anything like that!!

I'm in USA so I have to be honest. I haven't tried this yet. But I did a search for "Hulu outside US" and found quite a few methods such as this one.

Another option is to fallow my instructions on this post:

You can use that to watch movies and TV shows with Subtitles.

Now I'm even more pissed at ABC.com esp with "I survived a Japanese game show" and "Defying Gravity" because the first 2 episodes online had cc's but now E-3 of Defying Gravity doesnt have the CC.

Im tired of getting the short-shifted on CC's online so I can complete watch a whole season full of shows online.

It's not because they decided to stop adding CC.

It's because there's a problem and they're currently working on it.

Good news...Hulu's fixed the no cc bug on most of their cc shows only a few shows are still missing the cc button like part 2 of storm and paper chase that's it.

Now Im off to catching up on Great American Road Trip

Trust me you'll love it. I think the cc may carry over from Hulu US to Hulu UK. However Im envious UK gets BBC included in their Hulu cuz I wanna my Top Gear fix without going to YT.

Did you guys know that there is a setting in Hulu to use cc if the video has them? I set that and there is no need to turn them on as they will come on automatically.
