you know you're 30 when...

I did OK until I hit 60.

Or should I say, until 60 hit me.

Less than 5 years until 30th. :Ohno:

 at article.

Grummer, been there and done with it.

Reba, please don't tell me about yours! I am in no hurry to find out.

I was fine til I turned 40, then the very next day started falling apart....oh it sucks.

Been there, and yup!

Actually I was doing great til mid 40's BAM! Im just as good as F'g-up. Unreal, ended up lost my job. Now thank god one attorney finally accepted my case and advised me to go specialist. I was like okay, and gone down there yesterday to drop off forms for them. Man! I feel positive about them after seeing what they got to offer, much better than other specialists and I hope they can fix the problem I have for good, and get my ass back to working world. I can't stand stuck at home for 2 long.

20. Running hurts your knees. The elliptical hurts your knees. Everything hurts.

I'm here. Ouchies. I'm going to say my bad knees are due to marching band and kung fu... not age.

I was a runner until my mid-30's--that's when my knees became totally shot. :(

My daughter ran, too, but she got juvenile rheumatoid arthritis in her knee when she was 12 years old. She only recently (about two years ago) started running again. She does five miles per day, and runs in local fun races. She's 40 years old now.

When Hubby was in the Navy, even until he retired, he used to beat many of the younger sailors in the annual physical fitness run. :giggle:

I'm not sure what it's called, but starting when I was about 12 my knees started getting crummy. They found out that the groove my kneecap sits in is too shallow which leaves me open to all sorts of dislocations, meniscal tears, etc. I didn't care and did what I wanted to anyway (marching, martial arts until last year, rollerblading). We see where my fun got me lol. It's been so bad the last few weeks that I have a hard time flipping over in bed. I feel too old lol.:giggle:

I was great until I turned 22 so went changed.

I think my health will better and stable when I reach 30-40 years old because my parent had health problem (mostly GI) when both were 20's.

Do you have back pain when use backpack with laptop and textbooks?

For me, yes, it is new problem for me. I never had problem with heavier backpack until recently. I don't know if aging is one of them or weight loss (lose some muscle strength and the fats are greatly shrank - my weight was 250 lbs. in 2011 but dropped to 175 lbs. now). I decided to replace the backpack with wheelie bag - not very comfortable. :ugh:

I only take what I need in my backpack to school, and instead of carrying my 17.5" laptop in my backpack, I take the netbook instead to lighten the load. whew.

"When I was in college..." shoot I'm in college NOW! I'll be 28 next month and am in my 2nd semester of college lol. College just didn't work out for me after high school.

Are you going to string it out like I did? Started Community College in the fall of 1960 and took my last class in 1994! I had started a bookkeeping job part time that first fall. It grew into full time, I was working with people that all got along (one of the guys and I talked about it at one point and other than the union construction people that were called in from the union as needed; the only ones that had not been there 20 years or more were ones that were not old enough!) I took my last class for an Associates degree as a tel course and still got credit for the early ones because I had been using what I learned on the job.

kung fu did you say?
what style?

then, why not do Tai Chi, its much harder...and yet...it really helps you stay supple and 'younger' so the bones problems becomes less...

consider it as a friendly advice
