WRITER OPENINGS

H3 World TV is recruiting candidates for specific positions for the following Shows:


  1. DEAFLYMPICS media coverage in Caxias Do Sul, Brazil, May 2022
Seeking Deaf people with passion in sports reporting and media. Knowledge of Deaf sports and use of International Sign (IS) is desirable for positions working remotely starting now and/or during event in Brazil:

  • Senior Writer - coordinate news gathering team, supervising writers and directing social media.
This position includes travel to Brazil, or the option to work remotely.
[Two phases: during pre-production, and event.]

  • Sports Writer/Transcriber - research background, develop news angles and formulate questions for on-air talents, transcribe signed dialogue to text, writing script for report including anchor lead-in dialogues.
This position includes travel to Brazil, or the option to work remotely.

  • Transcriber/Captioner - transcribe to text from International Sign (IS), edit English, merging into and assembling scripts into single transcript, and knowledge of closed-captioning procedures.
This position would work remotely from your location. Must be proficient in English.

We accept candidates from anywhere in the world. Proficiency in English is essential. Prior experience and portfolio is required. All positions pay stipends in CAD currency, internships or meet specific academic or community service requirements. For selected team members traveling to the event, we cover costs of travel to Brazil, on-site transportation between venues, shared accommodations and per diem.

2) DEAFGPS weekly segments on DEAFWIRE TV news program

  • DeafGPS Researcher - research one specific topic and write 3 weekly background and 1 full-length program on that topic per month.
Knowledge of Deaf communities and ability to do quick research on topic and coordinate interviews for
monthly full-length program.
This position works remotely from your location. Must be proficient in English.
