I know USA is out but it is still exciting. Germany destroyed Brazil 7-1 today.

The game was played in Brazil and everyone was crying, real emotional. They said they were going to have to escort the German fans out so nothing happened. It was a clean game, Brazil was just so out played. Since my daughter lives in Europe, they all go to the pubs to watch these games. A lot of her friends are German so they were super super excited.
 
There's a German-Brazilian guy at work, I guess he'll implode when the time comes. He's been watching live streams on his phone all day at work.

I don't care about the World Cup (or sports in general) so whenever people suddenly change the subject onto it, I just walk away.
 
Several of my Latino friends are really into it so I have been watching it through their FB statuses. One friend from Brazil kept ribbing our other friend who is from Columbia about this on their FB pages. Funny to watch. :)

Not that one, but I signed up on Pottermore so I could read the new story about the Quidditch World Cup .

(I got placed in Slytherin.). :hmm:
 
Haven't watched more than 3 minutes of the World Cup. Soccer is like watching grass grow. Too little scoring and too much time spent in mid field. Great game to play, terrible to watch.
 
Nope, but I would rather watch hockey in the Stanley Cup no matter who play in the best game.

Soccer is not my thing.

It's first time for Germany as united country to win World Cup. The last three was won by WEST Germany. :hs:
 
I actually wanted to watch Germany vs Netherlands in World Cup, it'd be very exciting game to watch. Messi won the golden ball award which I disagree. He barely did not do anything much in last two games especially bad shots at WC. Mueller or Robben deserve it. I agree with Maradona, he said it was a marketing plan. FIFA is screwed up.
