**nodding** Perhaps we should all be more concerned about who is monitoring the activity of the CIA.:cool2:

ha ha it just never ends. somebody's gotta watch somebody who is watching somebody who is watching somebody... :laugh2:

Of the people, for the people, by the people. It is an issue of accountability.

And what other party would that be? I don't believe that there is a 3rd party candidate that has managed to stay in the race for any length of time, and certainly not one that has posed any threat to the established parties. But correct me if I'm wrong. Perhaps you have some inside knowledge that the rest of this country is not privy to.
how about an Independent? Won't it be great to have a moderate party? oh crap no.... no.... why? because the politics at its very core is a battle between extremes.

I'd rather make the Democratic Party the true party of the people. They've always had that potential since they got away from their Southern roots (and the GOP took over in that area). It's just a matter of pushing them towards that idea.
uuuhhhh...... dude - that is a socialism. That's what DC's vision resembles as.

These days - the 2 big parties (obviously DC & RC) usually end up absorbing whatever the smaller parties have an impact on... They take in the causes of the third parties and make it a huge issue - a surefire way to win the election.

How about Independent? Is there an Independent on the ticket? Is there an Independent that has managed to withstand the rigors of the preliminary race? I think not. Until there is a 3rd party candidate who provides the voting public with a viable alternative to the 2 party system, your point is moot.

No, that is not socialism. It is democracy.

It's not democracy if nobody has an equal chance at White House. Both DC and RC "steals" the idea & passion from the Independent and make it their winning key point just to win the seat. How can the Independent or other small party withstand the rigors of the race?? They lack fund especially for tv/radio spots. Ever wonder why some independents had to kiss an ass and join either DC/RC?

Boy.... would it be nice to have a good ole' open plain debate that Abe Lincoln had? Someday.... DC and RP will gradually lose the power as Internet is becoming more available for the mass. Just look at what Ron Paul did. Too bad majority of Americans are not quite tech-savvy.

The Independent has just as much chance as the Republican and the Democrat. They are not prevented from running. To date, they simply have not been able to garner popular support. Just because they have not been successful does not mean that they have not been afforded the opportunity. Again, "of the people, for the people, by the people." And, if we are not identified as a democratic government, why is it that we continue to support war efforts designed at forcing our particular brand of democracy down the throats of foreign nations?

if that's what you believe.... then so be it. No need to turn it into a contest who can piss the farthest :cool2:

simple. to create more puppets for us. to create a profitable haven for us. to create some muscle in a hostile region. all these..... just to avoid legal red tapes. We're just giving them a very watered-down version of Democracy - free election and the concept of voting. that's all.

Oh? And what does free election and the concept of voting represent? A government of the people, for the people, by the people. Simply put, a democracy.

don't we wish that's a true real definition?

Interest... :hmm:

This artical you posted is only an assumption, not official.

I have read "American Thinker" blogs before. They make a lot of assumption and think they know the fact.

Right now Arnold Swartgizator (dude I cant spell his last name), California Governor.

Arnold Schwarzenegger

He cannot become US President because he has ties to Austria upbringing. However, I am sure he has his eyes on the ticket to president.

No, he is not able to become President of USA because he was not born in America.

and that won't stop him. If they can extended Presidency to 3rd term, surely... they can overlook this. who knows? anything's possible. Constitution isn't meant to be permanent. :cool2:

Oh? And what does free election and the concept of voting represent? A government of the people, for the people, by the people. Simply put, a democracy.

No , in developing and third world countries the situation is more complex than this. You can give them all freedom to election and vote rights , there still wont be real democracy. People first should be educated, earn their financial freedom and freedom of thinking. Otherwise you are just giving a chance to few localy powerful people to legalize their domination over people behind democracy cover.

You can not give people democracy. They need to become democratic. Think about it.. Did anybody give England or France or United States democracy? They made their own changes to become one.

In the future, if the U.S. Constitution gets amended in a way or gets added on an amendment that allows naturalized Americans to run for President, then the Governator can run for the Presidency if he wants to.

just as what you said - free election and the concept of voting represent.

In that case, you have validated my point and invalidated your own.:dunno2:

But that was not a definition, it was a description of an element.

Nor do we have "real" decomcracy in the United States. And you have just outlined the very reason why our attempts to force democracy as we interpret it on other nations is a complete and utter failure.

England and France are not democratic governments.
