What's the stigma of a hearing student going to Gallaudet University?

Hello! I've been taking ASL for almost 2 years, and I believe I really try to go above and beyond in my understandings of ASL.
Taking into consideration of my progress in the language and love for ASL, I was considering the option of attending Gallaudet University when I major in Theatre Arts. I would love to work with the Deaf community and even be apart of Deaf theatre.
My only concern is that I won't be socially accepted because I'm not Deaf or HOH. Is this a realistic concern to have? Or if anyone has any personal experiences to offer? I don't want to seem like I'm "invading" a community or "taking up" a spot as an undergraduate.
Any help is appreciated!
