"Pride"

It's set during the Miners Strike in England and Wales in 1984-1985. It's one of those tragi-comic kitchen-sink dramas that we do well.
You don't have to be LGBT, a raging Unionist, a Coalminer, Welsh, or English to watch it, but please do -it's very very good.

I've started renting disks from Netflix just recently instead of streaming only. It gives my mother something to watch - there's so much that doesn't get streamed....and just today we received the first two disk from a British TV series, Blue Murder. No subtitles which seems typical for British Television DVDs, but she seemed to enjoy it.

I just saw Sin City 2 - never should have been made, it was that bad...too many of the original cast missing and the storyline was awful. I absolutely hated the new actors - they all sucked....what a waste of a good original concept.

An american wherewolf in london....
One of my faves....

I love that film, just a classic...I really hope they don't kill it with a lame remake. No one has come close to making anything as good....

Just watched another favorite of mine tonight, The Music Box (1989) with Jessica Lange, well acted all the way through.

Just watched The Conjuring this weekend and not sure why this was a hit. Seemed predictable...but I did enjoy the lead actress, Vera Farmiga. She's good in everything but the story seemed to borrow between The Exorcist and Amityville Horror.

Obvious Child
I loved this. It had me laughing frequently. The humor may be a little too raunchy for some ppl though.

Stealing Home
Picked this up on VHS awhile back and decided to give it a chance. Much to my surprise, this is a really entertaining drama.

Girlhood - Solid french flick. From my understanding most of the cast, including the main actress, were found on the street so much of the cast have no real history in terms of acting. That results in a very raw and realistic performances.

Sleepless in Seattle
Some other stuff I can't remember. Mostly VHS tapes, Im watching soley to get rid of it.
