Visual Language: Now or Later ??

you haven't seen me sign, Cloggy! I am in no way fluent, in fact, next week I'm putting myself through "remedial training" to clean up my sloppy basic signing and get moving past the wall I've hit.

This surprised me. I thought you were fluent.

Btw, I'm learning sign language as well, and, am in no way fluent.

I was raised to speak, since that was recommended by my teachers at school. Although my parents learnt sign I wouldn't sign back. I wish I did, because even now I find it hard to express what I really want to say and the words never come out how I want it to. I've grown up with sign around me(went to a deaf school that used sign and speech) but I am nowhere fluent in BSL
