I am looking for recommendations on online programs to become a teacher of the deaf (I already have a degree in special ed.)
Also I am looking for online ASL classes possibly to get a degree in ASL--NOT Interpreting though.... There are very few local ASL classes here....so online is the way I must go.
I am looking into both --not sure which way I want to go though....

Thanks in advance!

I don't think their are terp classes online, I think it is more of am in person thing

I don't think there are online programs geared to either ASL degrees (not sure there are even brick & mortar programs for that specifically either...) or for education of the deaf... yet anyway. Most online degree programs seem to focus more on business, Accounting and technology among other things than anything else.

Have never seen anything like it, it may exist but probably an extremely small niche.

The John Tracy Clinic has an online Master's program. It is geared towards teachers of the deaf who are already working. You do have to be in a particular kind of program. http://www.jtc.org/graduate-program/online-masters-degree-program/

If you already have a BA/BS in education, you can take the deaf/hard of hearing certification test in your state and see what they require for certification.

Utah State University has an online program as well https://online.usu.edu/comd

Also, Gallaudet has an online program here: https://www.gallaudet.edu/Documents/CCS/ASLBIECE.pdf

Here is an online Master's program as well: http://www.valdosta.edu/programs/m-...education-deaf-and-hard-of-hearing-education/

Here is a list of deaf education program http://www.deafed.net/PageText.asp?hdnPageId=120
