Ok, so at work today we were discussing deafness.
The student employees wanted to know about proper terms such as "is it ok to use the word "dumb", etc. That led to a discussion about what do deaf persons admire about one another. I said that among other things that we admire the fluidity and grace of someones signing.
One of the kids said in his best Announcer's Voice, "Wow, that sounds like a Discovery chanel show". "With his flying, graceful fingers, this male is sure to win a mate this evening".
