toddler question

Hi,

I'm new to everything. I just recently found out my dd lost most of her hearing. There's been a big learning curve and I'm just trying to catch up as best I can.

So I was wondering. When a child comes up to her on the playground and introduces him/herself, how do I convey that to her? She is learning ASL but she is a toddler and can't spell, so using the alphabet to sign their names seems like it would be confusing. Since they're not deaf or hoh, they don't have a name sign. What do I do?

Thanks.
