Granted, I know nothing about running a forum. But is there a way in which you could 'ignore' a thread like you can 'ignore' certain members?

I sure know I have some threads I would just as soon make invisible...

Just skip over those threads and don't open them ... voila, they are ignored ;-).

Yeah, this was possible in the past that worked in FireFox3. So if you use another version of firefox, like the latest, you'll probably have to learn how to run different versions.
That plugin was called FFVB (FireFox vBulletin for short), it still works and is out there today but you can only run it on firefox version 3.

There's a thread on it here in the past, you can check out how it works here if it interests you. I updated the links to the pictures (they were old and gone).

But I don't think there's anything equivalent today except running some custom script on greasemonkey to ignore users.
That will probably take some on the fly programming to get it working flawlessly...

Easier way is to just mentally ignore it. :|

Edit: You might be in luck. Try one of these?

She not want ignore user, she want ignore thread. I AGREE!!! If I never have see horse slaughter thread title again, this okay!!!!

I'm on Firefox 8.0.1 (mac). I don't think I want to back track to v3.

I guess I'll just ignore the threads as I've done, but hey - it was worth asking!

Totally agree. There are a select few posters who seem to delight in posting horrific threads with horrific titles and, you know, your eyes can't "unsee" things even if you don't read the thread. The title alone can be enough. There are some posters that I wish I could not see ANYTHING they post, regardless of a post or a thread they start.
