Teaching 4 Year Old Sign Language

Hey everyone!

I am hearing, but am wildly in love with deaf culture and the beautiful language that is ASL. A friend of mine believes his four year old brother may be deaf. His mother is bringing him to a few more doctors for some other opinions. But, if this is the case they may want me to start to teach him sign language. I am a level 4 ASL student, so I am pretty well versed in the language, but I have never communicated with a deaf child. Does anyone have any advise as to how to start, or maybe some techniques that either I or his family could use?!

he'll be hooked up with EI.Tell them to hook up with Wisconsin School for the Deaf too. Very tired right now but will link tomorrow

Signing Time is great. Also, http://signitasl.com/ has lessons for families of children with hearing loss.
 
Second @deafdyke with Wisconsin School for the Deaf. Learning signs and some ASL online is great, it's a great resource, but as I've said before to similar posts, nothing replaces learning with Deaf adults who are fluent in ASL.

It looks like Wisconsin has an Outreach program which is similar to the Child Find program in Colorado where I'm from, through WSD, that would be good for this family.
