Well it's good. Trust me if my ZX2 Escort can make it through 8 years and 157k (I had it since it was new trading my Ranger in for it 3 days after Xmas 2000), yours can do it pretty good and still look so nice and fresh. Unfortunately mine got so much dents and dings esp with the passenger side door that I cant open after my daddy backed into it with his big-ass F150 truck. The motor still runs like a charm.

I was about to sell it this month but my SUV chose a good time to break her camshaft sensor and I ended up having to come down and get the ZX2 back home after a 7 month stay in the barnyard. All I needed was a new battery and all is fine nowadays.

Scabs, yes it is a fiesta, I picked it up last wednesday and it is one week old. I only used it for two days, I am on vacation right now. :) It is a beautiful car though throughout.

Hey jclarke, what trim level is your Fiesta? Our USA version of the Fiesta just was showed last Tuesday at the LA Auto Show. We get the saloon and the hatchback 4 door, but no 2 door hatchback.

Is yours a CL or Zetec? We get the S, SE and SES (hatchback) and SEL(saloon) All US Fiestas get the 1.6 Ti-VCT 120 hp motor with the 5 speed stick and 6 speed PowerShift automatic.

Come on, Ford can do better than that. My 2000 Honda has a 1.6 liter SOHC VTEC at 127 hp. Honda also had a 160 hp 1.6 liter which is a DOHC VTEC.

Hey man, that 2000 Honda with the 1.6 VTEC 127 hp and 4 speed auto will drink more gas than the Fiesta with the 1.6 Ti-VCT 120 hp and the Powershift 6 speed auto. Do u know why? 'Cause the auto in the Fiesta has 2 clutches from a manual tranny instead of a torque converter. 7 hp difference aint that bad, but the Fiesta weighs a much less than the Civic.

Ford is doing their homework better than Honda nowadays. I dare you to go to a Ford dealer in May 2010 when the first batches of Fiestas fresh from Mexico comes in...If ya dont think so..the Honda dealer would be happy to show you the Fit and I dont think it's fit enough to run circles around the Fiesta. Besides it is the Honda Fit that is fighting the Fiesta, not the Civic.

What's the rated mpg on the 2011 Festa? Mine's at 33 highway, I think. I get average of 30-31 mpg mostly. :)

'91 Jeep Cherokee Laredo ... not much but it's MINE! and I wuv it! :D

Yes those are bats on the vehicle ... I am a caver (not Batmobile) and thus show my solidarity to the world of cavers... besides they look cool IMO

To my knowledge the way the conduct the ratings is the same. Under sterile non real world conditions. If anything has changed its the percentage of what they can claim. The problem is that the ratings don't match real world conditions becuase they are conducted in conditions that do not mimic real world driving conditions.

That's your opinion. Like I said, it's MORE accurate than the old system. It's to get a better idea how much mpg those cars will usually get because you can't tell the rating until you buy the car or wait for a review from some car magazine. The problem is that they don't review EVERY car on the market. IT also depends on your driving style, as well.

it was said that EPA adjusted the rating to more realistic setting. That's why the mpg rating is lower than before. but if you think it's still a lie.... maybe you're right. maybe not. :dunno:

the only way to find out is to drive it and figure out the math yourself.

I am not disagreeing with you. The way they are reporting the numbers and the assumptions have changed. Not the way they conduct the tests. It's still done in a lab on a dyno as it has been for years.

Fuel economy is measured under controlled conditions in a laboratory using a standardized test procedure specified by federal law. Manufacturers test their own vehicles—usually pre-production prototypes—and report the results to EPA. EPA reviews the results and confirms about 10-15 percent of them through their own tests at the National Vehicles and Fuel Emissions Laboratory.

Yeah, I'm aware that they do it in the lab not on the roads. I wish they do that on the roads outside but maybe they can't cuz it's cheaper to do it in the lab, I guess.

My trim is black cloth sports trim. We don't have leather availabe just yet. But I hate leather seats anyway.

Mine's the Zetec, and the top version of the class - I lol'ed at the 120 hp, as my car have 152 torque power

Will plan to add Chrome rims to my car and Bike roof racks.

No good pic, but I have a Chevy Aveo. It was used, and I love it. It is tiny, efficient and perfectly cobalt blue.
