Actually, I believe that there are lots of people here who say that they prefer to only associate with hearing people when they must, and that they would prefer to spend all their free time in the Deaf community.
 
not here. make your own thread and leave elliott's dad's thread alone. Elliotts dad is very excited about his time with his kid's .

Actually, isn't the statistic that 90% of Deaf people marry other Deaf people?

Also, I think it depends on your definition of "isolate". Are natives who choose to live on reservations isolating themselves? What about the Chinese who live in a Chinatown and choose to use Chinese as their primary language and send their children to Chinese schools?

But NONE of this has to do with a family deciding to get their child a CI. Good luck to Elliot!!!!!!!!

In just college alone, here are some of the sports I personally know ci kids are playing:

Field hockey
baseball
football
hockey
soccer
lacrosse
skiing

Posts like the one from this yizwhatever character are exactly the reason why I advise all parents considering the ci for their child to join the ci circle.
