Currently working at an Amusement Park for summer job (won't name which) were talking 13 hour, 16 hour days with one day off a week on average, I'm a Ride operator, its not much of a deal for me partly because I read up on reviews before coming here. My roommate has already cracked under the pressure, the hours are too long for her. I have compassion though, she gets to work with children 24/7 yikes!

Anyways what was your most challenging job??

I work in a very busy pharmacy. I do just about everything from counting pills, ordering, billing and deal with patients plus more. It gets stressful at times but just knowing I can keep up and get the job done is rewarding.

For 5 years, I was a complaint specialist for the Better Business Bureau taking close to 700 phone calls a day of nothing but complaints.

700 calls a day? Are you sure it is 700? I would understand 70 calls a day but again 700?

I am waiting for your answer, I did math work and I still can't image how you could reach 700 calls a day? I calculated and each calls average is 1.5 minute which seems to be unrealistic to me. I used to work in calling center and know what is like.

Hardest, building stone walls
Worst, nights at a fish processing plant
Most demanding, software development
Most puzzling, auto mechanic
Most rejected, graphic design
Most difficult, programming machines to make parts

They have all been hard and challenging in their own ways.

Teletype Operator...the job paid excellent since I was a journeyman...but it was really tedious...having to hyphenate words....getting the sentence to fit into the scale...adding thin spaces, em's and en's.....Those old machines are obsolete now...thanks to Laser Printing and computers....

Second was Restaurant Work (after retirement, part time)....easy on the brain but so hard on the body...it was exhausting!

The most challenging job is when my company keep acquiring another company in the last minute notification, merging our network infrastructure and employees accounts.... it create chaos...

I had a summer job working as a steward at various events. I did a gay pride event in a park, 13 hour day with one 30 minute break which was the only time all day when I was able to sit down! I wished I was dead, was in so much discomfort :(

Hmm, I'd say Target overnight stocking. It was a good workout.

Hey peeps. I'm wondering I have an interview for a volunteer postion on Wed and I'd like some tips. I'm guessing I should wear my hearing aids(but hidden by my hair) and glasses. I don't really need interview questions I just need to know tips on how to act. I'm going to walk there because it isn't far from my house just hope its not raining. should I tell the interviewer about my hearing or no? I'll be working at a science musem not one of my fave subjects but i'm desperate right now for just about anything volunteer wise.

I'm sure it's a longshot but any chance you could give me any insight on how I can fully utilize what the BBB has to offer marketing-wise? We are an accredited business as of April third. Shoot me a PM if that's what it takes.

I'd appreciate ANY kind of advice or input.

No. No one needs to know.

As for me, I would say that the dynamic of my customers are challenging. I get some tough negotiators. Yes, that happens in bike world.

The job I had last year. Working about 10-12 hours a day for 5-7 days a week. Trying to deal with unload with full of screwed up or problem and trying to locate product in our yard which isn't very organized and load it. I was basically running around when trucks came. The another tough part is arriving at the work and going home: sitting in the traffic for 2 hours.

The job pays pretty good, but management people always made all bad decisions that caused frequent problem at my area. I was glad I don't work for this company anymore.

No, you don't have to. If the interviewer ask you about it, you can tell him/her that.

How to act during interview - sell yourself, give positive answers, and keep all answers short and brief. And be sure you ask any questions about anything.

It's a volunteer position. There's no pay.

I had a volunteer position too at a library. Worked for about 9 months.

you don't want my job. it will make you want to hide under the desk and stay there.

yes and no.

it depends on the job description. if the job entails a lot of communication and telephone... you'll have to let them know.
