" Monte Cristo Sandwishes "

I make this once in a while it pretty good. But speakign of cheese you can create your own favor which cheese you like best for yourself. I used swiss cheese on this sandwish.

Shopping list: Chicken, Swiss cheese, Butter, mustard, eggs, milk, salt, white bread.

Ingredients:

4 Tablespoons butter or soften butter, divided.

1 Tablespoon prepared mustard

8 slices of firm white bread

8 slices of swiss cheeses

8 slices of roast chicken

3 eggs

1/4 cup milk

1/4 teaspoon of salt.

Directions:

1. Blend 2 tablespoons of butter and mustard in a small bowl and mix it until smooth. Spread it on 4 slices of bread.

2. Alternate slices of chicken and cheese on bread. Top wti the remaining 4 slices of breads.

3. Combine eggs, milk, and salt in a meduim bowl, mix with a fork until well blended. Heat remaining butter in a large skillet over the med-heat.

4.Dip the sandwishes into egg mixture with a large spatula and letting excess drip back into the bowl. Add sandwishes in the skillet fry until golden brown about 2 mintues per side.

Voila! have fun! :naughty::wave:

I remember this from childhood. I seem to think we dipped it in raspberry jam one bite at a time.:D
