Hi! My name is D'jana or DJ for short. I am in eighth grade and even though my signing is pretty good, I am not fluent. I am HOH. I am hoping that you might want to FaceTime me, so I can practice my ASL. It is hard to find the Deaf community around where I live and all my friend can hear. DJ.............yay for learning ASL.......One thing you could do to gain fluency is to look into going to ISD or a regional Dhh program or even Model Secondary School for the Deaf...there are always oral transfers to the Schools and programs for the Deaf....I know of HOH kids who went to MSSD,not knowing a Sign of ASL and they are now as Deaf as you can get. http://illinoisdeaf.org/(I think they have a listing of regional programs there)
