Did your parents sign with you at home when you were younger? Was it hard communicating with them? What about siblings?

At first, Dad started to sign with me. He was told to stop by the school for the deaf, which was Sunshine Cottage. It was hard for me to communicate to them until they found out I was deaf at seven and a half. Once I got hearing aids and learned some words to say, it became a LOT easier. I was an only child between my parents.
