I'm from Minnesota. I'm profoundly deaf in both ears. I do wear HAs but they only go so far.

I understand what you mean exactly. I have an implant on the right ear, but rarely wear it... and a hearing aid on the left. It does the trick to say the least...:dunno2:

That is funny. The humidity is a killer. May I ask which part of Illinois you are in? If, you are not comfortable disclosing it, no worries, its a non-issue.

Dupage? Dang, huge, huge deaf community there. I am in LaSalle County. Feels like I am the only deaffie in that cornfield.
