Ah perfect, now we are getting somewhere.

Ok if you got IE version 6.0

Go to tool options like on the first image I showed above.

Here is another image to show what you need to do to clear the cache and cookie.

After you clear the cache and cookies. Click ok then close the IE and reopen IE.

Then you can try to log in your old AD name.
 
IE8 is the newer version of Internet Explorer --
