Hi. I'm doing a research paper and of course most websites dont have what I am looking for. Being partially deaf myself I deal with plenty of bullying and such. My question is how many of you have had people treat you like you have a disease for being deaf, and how often do they treat you like that? I'm writing about how being deaf is treated like a handicap by many people and would just like some help. Thanks ^.^

I'm deaf and like cars with turbocharged engine. Yes, I am DEAF and like cars with TURBOCHARGED engine!!!
Now, I think that the whole world would petition to not allow people to buy anything turbocharged because us deaf people are wild drivers when we get the opportunity to do something cool with turbo.

I am totally opposite. I am Information Technology specialist, hearing people are handicapped because they need help with technology that they do not understand and need me to help them out. "Their ignorancy is my job security" :P
Being in high school and having 65% hearing loss is hard so when we got a persuasive essay assignment I decided to use the opportunity. I'd love to pack a punch to all those teachers who think I am handicapped because I am deaf.
