I am only moderately deaf and have pretty good hearing aides. At night, I take them out and have slept through a lot of things it would be better not to- like a fire alarm in the building. So, I got a rescue dog. She's about 2(?) years old, lab, shepherd, and some other breeds. So far, she's a great companion and learning all her basic commands easily. She has naturally shown an interest in my phone ringing when I don't hear it. I don't know how to teach her to come and get me, or other ways she might help me. When I've felt scared at night, when I thought I heard something wrong- I look at her, to see if she is alarmed. Her one flaw, (besides not being able to talk
