I have a better idea - why not introduce two human characters who are gay, but don't show them kissing, just holding hands and behaving as any other couple would? The rule is that the puppets don't have romantic relationships as the show is more about education and teaching preschool aged children. I have to agree with that, so it would be better to introduce two gay human characters.
