Dogs for the deaf?

I tried to contact an agency to check on a service dog for the deaf in Michigan and got no response whatsoever. I wondered what fees are involved and how to cover vet bills for the dog. This is something I am interested in because when I pull out my hearing aids I miss a lot of things, and I don't want to ever miss a warning signal or urgent phone call.
 
I am also interested in a sd (service dog) but I was going to train my own and along side a sd trainer. I did look into dogs for deaf and it seems like a good business but the wait time is like 3-5 years for most cases.
