Deaf Sign not ASL?!!?

I am a deaf man of 6 years or so, I have never really met any deaf people till recently so have just started learning ASL.

I am cursed by the ability to be able to speak although full deaf. it is one reason how I have avoided learning ASL till now.

Yesterday was Deaf Day at Six Flags Over Texas. I went to enjoy the company of other deaf and was amazed that some sign ASL but most sign something completely different!!! Whats even more amazing is it seems that the ones signing using something besides ASL do not even fully understand one another, I was amazed by how it was during conversations when most did not even understand each other, it's like signing is in general not even communicating more than plating sharaids

Did you ask what they were using/where they learned it?

I think you can get medication to treat that.

One can be DEAF and not learn/use ASL Have/use a Cochlear Implant.
As for the number of actual DEAF persons in one's local area- check with "local DEAF group" if possible.

I doubt to you are hearing person? I thinks what do you learn ASL? I notice you hearing person.!
