Deaf Apartment?

Senior citizens home and handicapped home are overridden with drug addicts, rough necks hanging in the halls. No you can't get a all deaf community. Seem like it would be ok for some kind of discrimination or limits for some to live peacefully in their own community. Elevators may or not work. Dirty enough not to want to get on the elevator but you don't want to live on the first floor because of who may be lurking around the building. Secure and gated and well lighted would help. Most Criminals and dope fiends do not like well let, gated community with good security.

it was on IDEAFNEWS and DEAFNATION. That deaf apt. complex was cleared to be deaf only.
The liberals at HUD are too PC.

Is deaf apartment in Arizona no longer exist anymore?

I think that state of Arizona refuse to follow HUD's order.

I doubt it has ANYTHING to do with 'liberal' or 'conservatives' at HUD. More to do with them trying to be linear with the law.

All that happened in 2012. See below- finally found info about what has happened since then.

That complex also was for senior citizens only not generalized for adults of all ages.

on a side note-
apparently there is one opening in Morganton NC in early 2016

As for the AZ one, yes they still exist-

And the investigation was actually dropped in 2014-

The political appointees controlled the federal government. They often staffed their PR offices with political operatives. And the general's counsel in most departments have career civil servant attorneys but the top guns are often political appointees who smelled anything from an ethnic and racial viewpoint. Like DOJ's Civil Right Division. We deaf are often excluded from diversity and minorities programs and efforts for examples.

Apache ASL Trails Apartments are still in exist thanks to some support, NAD, and etc. They fought hard against HUD for adding hearing senior citizens to the apartment plus decreasing numbers of Deaf/HH senior citizens. Apache ASL Trails won at last.

Another Deaf apartment in Northern California was established in the past and lost to HUD years ago. They left the apartment building with flashing alarm devices on the wall. :giggle: Fook hearing senior citizens with ongoing flashing alarm devices.. hands off.
