Hey George and the Wall Street fatcats.....

Thank you for ruining my holidays by bringing the world's greatest economy, the U.S. Economy down to its knees! Your greed and incompentence is so fucking-a astounding! People are losing houses and jobs left and right! Corporations are filing bankrutpcy by the busloads! Hey Herbert Hoover never had it so easy! Dumbya Bush, your leadership totally stunk to high heavens in the 8 years you have held the White House.

Sub prime mortages and sky-hiiiigghh housing prices yeah what a great way to make a buck off the poor and the middle class! Easy Credit! Buy now pay the piper later! All we needed to prosper was borrow borrow borrow. Not to mention we taxpayers were paying for TWO wars one necessary war and the other a very DUMB war that just wasted nothing but our troops and our billions of dollars spent on that money pit that is called IRAQ.

*BUST* the whole house of cards fell right down quick. Cutting taxes ...Great idea but SHITTY execution when the rich is paying LESS than the poor and the middle class. Gas prices went thru the roof making your OPEC buddies richer than King Midas. Food prices were downright fucken insane that we were buying LESS food with the same amount of money than last year.

When the Wall Street fatcats got so downright broke they came and groveled before the People and Dumbya Bush. ooo yeah we gave them $700 billion yeah right. But what did the fat cats do with it? They refused to LOAN out the $. The fatcats kept giving executives the bonuses they did not deserve for driving their companies to the ground. They IGNORED Main Street just to keep Wall Street alive. Have they FORGOTTEN that the working man is the engine that drives the US Economy?

We were a proud INDUSTRIAL nation. We made our own products that we sell in here from clothes to TV to cars. Now most of our jobs are being EXPORTED over to China because of our greed for LOWER prices. Hey the corporations have ignored the fact that their workers are the consumers of their products and service?! Blind ignorance and greed!

George W. Bush and the Wall Street fatcats, there is a special place in Hades for you! Now you both have made President Obama's job much difficult than FDR did when he entered the White House in 1933.

It's cuz I just got LAIDOFF today. Almost 13 years working for the company and this is the shittiest holiday season I have ever encountered!
 
Ohhh, this really sucks to hear you got laid off.

Is there a way they will rehire you back considering your seniority with the company?

They will cuz the union got the company by their balls...With 12 years Im pretty much the first to get called back in.
 
They will have to because with the seniority you have, they can't just upchuck you.

I totally agree with u....FUCK u Bush and all the fatcats! Iam a teacher and iam struggling to pay my bills and now I find out that the state will cut out 4 paid days during the week of Christmas leaving me missing half of my paycheck and a huge tax bill for my property being due at the end of the month? The state wants to use my and others' money to fix the debt it is in..what about MY debt???? Yea, iam with u...fuck u all!

Sorry about you being laid off, I was laid off two years ago and struggling to find a job, but finally found a job with my parents, however they don't have much to pay me nor give me more hours..

I agree, Bush abuse America so much and I can't wait for him to get out of the office..
 
Wow, I can't imagine myself laying off from work. I do have a back-up plan, but this is something I don't want that to happen. I am sure when I get laid off, my car won't be with me anymore. Scary.
 
I feel lucky to have a job at a stable place. :eek2: I better remember to bring those extra cans to the food bank bin at work. :(

My hubby was being force to stay home since yesterday to 10th January 2009 because Robert Bosch GmbH (the world's biggest car-parts supplier and rank) have to lock due no car parts deliver since October.
 
Dang that sucks Sable, I hope you get your jobs back soon one day. That got to hurt especially during the holidays.

I hope union will help you and kick their ass to get your job back because of your seniority.

I wud have went 1st shift but I like my mornings in bed...Besides working mornings and me goes like oil and water.

The union knows Im the top dog when it comes to seniority cuz there's been a lot of turnover in employees getting fired or quit.

But hey one upside is I get some free time to go look for temp work while collecting unemployment.

Yeah I've preferred to work at nights so I can sleep in mornings into early afternoon. I've pretty much been night owls long enough. I was hired to do 4:30pm-10 shift and I've done the double shifting many times from 3am-7.

I like this way so makes my life easier and less stress driving with few cars around at night as well as saving my fuel on the open road.

UPS had froze hiring for a while til peak season came, so it may be a slow process for them to hire for part time position depending on location.

Good luck hunting for job and hope u get one soon :)
 
Ouch Sable, I'm sorry to hear ya got laid off. I hope the Union will find a way to get ya back to 2nd shift.

Wow, I'm sorry about you got laid off after worked for very long time.

Not just only for Bush, anyone who responsible to loosen the financial regulation in late 90's or early 2000's, it went boom like crazy, especially on real estate, bank and credit then it went bust in few years ago but trends to worse now.

I'm looking for new job in construction because of better pay but have to wait because recession has affect construction activity, I wasn't very happy right now and really hate to work at retail.

What does President Bush have to do with this? Go back to the election of 1979, when Reagan won over Carter. The inflation was in the double-digits and everything and everyone was in an uproar, just like it is now. Go back and reread your history and you'll find out the economy is cyclical and has no bearing on who or what party is in office. History repeats itself.

Now, consider this: Suppose McCain was Reagan and Obama was Carter: In this election, Reagan wouldn't have won and Obama wouldn't have won in 1979. It doesn't matter what party or who the candidate is.

Also, go back and reread what you said. Whose fault was it for people to obtain credit (wow, look honey, another credit card application!) when they can't pay the bills they have already? I agree about the corporate greed and the ceo's getting way too much money, but that's not Bush's fault. People need to watch their spending and, if history is any indicator, they're not. I still see brand new vehicles leaving new car dealers and those vehicles are the biggest gas guzzlers they sell! No one learned a lesson, did they? Who is to blame? Nothing was learned after 9-11, either. Thankless American GREED (the f*cking world owes me because I'm an American!!). Yeah, right. :roll: That's what got us into this mess.

As for this to be a "shitty" holiday season, it's not for me. Do you know why? Just because the stores are playing "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" doesn't mean you have to spend. I was in the middle of bankruptcy proceedings in 2001, yet I was probably more broke than you are now. The holiday season isn't about you or me. If you need a clue, take a look at avatar. Money is still tight, but that's because I'm in school. I also learned to decifer my wants from my needs. Come shopping with me, dear, and you'll learn a whole new set of rules so that a consumer isn't taken to the cleaners by those merchants. Those cookies smell good over there, huh? Leave them there and get what you really need. Make cookies when you get home if you want them. Just saved you $5 right there.

Do some good for others instead of doing good only for yourself. I haven't purchased Christmas gifts for thankless relatives for years and don't intend to start after getting done with school in May and starting my job in broadcasting. Why should I? Who says you have to spend, spend, spend? For what reason when you probably can't stand the relatives anyway? My two older brothers and their wives and families had to be separated because the middle brother's wife didn't think the oldest's wife gave good gifts. What a pig and a snob! Their kids are just like her and my brother, too! They were divorced a few years later and my brother deserved to be taken to the cleaners on child support. She herself was a spendthrift and the oldest's wife was a bookkeeper. Now, tell me who was more tight with money and knew where every penny, dime, nickel, quarter, dollar, five, ten, twenty, fifty and one hundred dollar bill went? You got it, the bookkeeper!

I know of a woman in Rochester, Minnesota, who told me that her husband was six months shy of retiring from Caterpillar when the big whigs came in and said, "Thank you everyone, see ya!" Guess where his pension and retirement went? He's back working, but not there. Employers have done a lot of good for workers here in the states, but those workers have the "you fucking owe me" attitude. No, they don't owe you anything. Just who do you think you are? Lose the 'tude and rebuild. I had way more than you did and lost it all. I'm rebuilding to be stronger and better than ever and can see the lights at the end of the tunnel! I didn't say I was "bitter," did I?

Now, for the job and the layoff, I understand. My dad has worked a good many Christmases, birthdays, as well as being laid off due to labor strikes at Northwest. My own job turned into a battle ground, which is why I went through hard times. Before I was born, my two older brothers only received pencils for Christmas because that's all my parents can afford. Times can get hard on people and families. That's why it's imperative when the green is coming in to stock up for when it's not, then all hell won't break loose.

So, start counting your many blessings and you'll find out that this will be your best Christmas ever, sablescort.

It's too bad you got laid off, okay? I'm not downing you for that, but we ALL need to be more thankful for what we all have. I know I do.

Another thing, a cousin-in-law, a heck of a nice guy, saw me at a family get-together on Oct 11 and said that of all the years he's known me, he's known that I always land on my feet, no matter what I do and it blows up on me. I've reinvented myself many times and you can do the same.

By the way, how does your resume' look? Not a bad idea to revamp it and get a professional resume' writer to help you write it. Write down ALL of the skills you know and those that are rusty, put them down, too. You can do it, it'll just take some hard work to get yourself up to speed. How's your wardrobe? Throw out anything you haven't worn for a year, which includes those bell bottom pants you have and the zebra pants.
