Check out a "CROS Bone Anchor Hearing aid, especially if you have Single Sided Deafness (SSD) like I do. I have been using a "Wireless Bone Conduction Head Phone", that is paired up to my Samsung phone and my Kindle Fire, and It works great, but I have to press it to my ear to get full quality. I also use a stereo microphone for conversations in noisy areas, and I put an earplug in for the "noise". I'm going to ask my doctor if I qualify for a bone anchor just behind my dead ear. It's a 20 min. surgery under a local. Way cheaper than cochlear implant, and I can do any adjusting volume and equalization on my own, again way cheaper. Ear Buds can cause problems in the ear canal, moisture, bacteria, uncomfortable, so something just outside the ear canal, like the bone conduction device, you can ware 24/7 if you want. I put mine under "My Pillow" at night and put on A432 tuned music, which helps calm down my Tinnitus .
