Hi all CI users,

Do you have your audiogram while you're with your hearing aids and now with your CI?
If you don't mind, would you please show us both by posting them here, so that we all can know the different?
I specially interested in which frequency is actually get the most benefit from CI.
Thank you very much! you're all hero!

My daughter:

Ear- 50 db 70 db 90 db 90 db 105 db 90 db

this is one month post implant. I am currently averaging 25/30db all across the frequencies. I am now nearing 2 years and will post new one when i have had my 2nd year review.

I have not worn any HAs since I was ten years old, and I have a CI now for my left ear. So I can only provide the audiogram for the CI.

Here it is:

Hertz:----250-----500-----1000-----2000-----3000-----4000
Decibel:--25d-----20d------25d------30d-------20d------ 35d

Average 24 db

Thanks Lucia! I was fortunate that my loss was Postlingual that I had many years with normal hearing. The only problem is that it really makes my HA ear seem so useless. It's like comparing the bullet train with the little engine that could.

Left Ear(Now CI ear)
500Hz- 110 DB
1000Hz- 110Db
2000Hz- 115db
4000hz- No Response at 120db

Aided Left Ear Results Pre Implant

250- 65db
500- 55db
1000hz- 50db
2000hz- 70db

My CI scores are between 30/35db

Thanks for asking the question....I've always wonders.
I also wonder if you still have some residual hearing in the 50-60db (unaided)in the 500-1000hz, would you opt for CI? Or are you not even a canidate for CI?
thanks
Susan

I didn't know the results could be this dramatic. Wow.

Hint

Have to look for the Audiograms...
But here is Lottes test earlier this year in Noise (HINT)
Here one can see on the left how Lotte scores close to perfect without noise. (from 69% 14 months before) and how (on the right) she improved from her 2010 results in noisy environment

IMAG0301a.jpg

==================
IMAG0303a+result+HINT.jp

Translation:
Lotte was wearing bilateral CI when she was tested with one-syllable words and HINT sentenses.
One-syllable words HIST: 40 of 44 = 88%
HINT sentenses:
I silence: 98%
In noise from the front: STN= 5.7 dB with v=2,0dB and STN= 3.3dB with v= 2,0dB
In noise from right: STN= 2.2 dB with v=1.5dB
In noise from left: STN= -0.2 dB with v=2,2dB
