Hearing Girl Who Wants To Make Deaf Friends(:

Hey! I'm pretty much the only HOH person in my family. I have hearing aids and sign always up to talking and meeting new people!
 
Welcome to alldeaf. I have two questions for you. Do you know American Sign Language? Where are you from?
 
Hey, I'm 17, hearing, from the USA and would love someone to chat with. I'm about to finish ASL 1 (I know, I'm still an ASL baby) and am worried about losing my abilities over the summer. I really want to make some d/Deaf or HoH friends, or even some heating friends that sign :)

Same here! I dont anyone who can sign and I love to sign but cant
 
I too am a hearing girl who wants to make friends. I want to be an interpreter for ASL but I can never practice sign only when i have class or being my teacher's assistant at Sacramento State.
 
I am also a hearing girl, and I want to make deaf friends!! I really hope I get to meet them in rl, or that they are in my area!!

I'm also self teaching asl to myself at the moment through lifeprint.com. My biggest worry with self teaching is getting the grammar/facial expressions down, I don't want to embarrass myself when I get the chance to actually use it.

Hi, I'm hearing, too. I really want to make deaf friends and just like you, I don't know of any in my area. I look up to the Deaf community. I love the culture and I wish to learn more about it. I also want to pursue interpreting as a side career (I want to be a musician and a vet) I'm really hoping to make a deaf friend!
