First let me say that I'm not deaf. But is it wrong that I find the way a deaf girl talks is sexy

It can be very expressive and in some cases very beautiful when done to perfection. It would be like a Hearing Person hearing a Opera trained singer or some other singer with a perfect voice and power. I can tell you that when one is with a girlfriend who is deaf it can make for some good communications. Better than with a hearing in some ways. I know a few people who are hearing and were very expressive with their sign language which is perfect of itself when combined with all of the other forms of expression from a human.

One interesting memory. If you were at a deaf school and put a paper bag on the entire student body so you did not recognize them by sight, you will instantly recognize who is who by the way they sign. Almost the same as hearing a voice and know that is a particular person you are hearing. For example Marlee Matlin who was the award winning star of "Children of a Lessor God" that was made would be instantly reconizable by her signs you would see the differences in a range of emotions presented by her in the movie. That particular movie was with some controversary back in the 80's when it was first produced I think up in Nova Scotia. There were stage versions dating from the late 70's as well.

I'm wondering what you mean with that and I would like you to elaborate more.

If you're thinking about culture and languages, it's not wrong to think so. How some can find French or Italian languages and cultures beautiful, it's possible to find the signing language and culture beautiful. Appreciating others cultures and learning from them is nice. It's actually common to try to learn a new language, try out new food and visiting foreign countries.

Many deaf people knows a sign language. They're often very expressive, shows emotions, good in communication and visual. In sign language the words often looks like the thing it represent. Either it's shape or movements. If you lives in a culture where little to no body language, a very stiff face and little emotions are the norm, seeing something different is often refreshing. Seeing the variations and exploring new cultures can be exciting. To me sign languages looks like languages which consists of pictures in movement like an animation. Instead of piecing together different sounds, they put together movements representing a word.

But is it wrong or disrespectful of me to think so

No, but the question is are you willing to accept the Deaf culture, learn ASL, and face challenges what a Deaf girl experienced? Only you can answer a question for yourself.

My cousin's old childhood friend had a thing for me, because he finds ASL and deaf girls fascinating. He wrote me many letters literally about learning ASL and stuff and even mentioned my cousin thinks he is nuts. A friend did not care. He did ask me out, but I was not allowed to date until I was 16. He kept wanting to see me, but I realized he was naive and we were incompatible.

Not being deaf myself I don't and don't think I could ever fully understand what a deaf person experiences or how they see the world. But if she is the kind of person I can deeply care about and get the same in return I'll go above and beyond

a deaf persons voice is unique, maybe that is why you like it? as most sounds range differently from being vulnerable to sounding rather aggressive in tone? which may not be deliberate but the frustration invigorates most hearing peoples minds. As a deaf person myself from my experience i totally dislike it,...why because of the years of ruddy hard work in being taught how to be or (sound hearing). That is when you have not been taught S.L or from always being surrounded by hearing people. A deaf person often gets over looked. Do i think its weird you like the sound of a deaf person...yes. Sorry but i do...simply because i do not like my own voice....i am deflecting away from sounds and rather looking at how one arranges words....or sentences. i guess i am the one that is wrong and its nice to hear someone being positive about a deaf persons unique vocabulary.

That's a honest answer. I wish you good luck. Best wishes.

Some of the best people I have come across in various paths in life do not have their limitation or handicap on display. They possess issues that limit them against a human who may not have no issues physically etc. If you took a little time to know them a little bit in passing, you will find that there is no handicap to speak of if you two understand one another. Ive had very few individuals who were that way in life.

I remember one suit of a very big mill in the midwest on a friday night. Stood on the stairway from his office YELLING at me across the yard with bad language etc. I finally walked all the way up there with the volume getting louder and words more filthy lapsing even into a touch of german for lack of english words... (There is a experience...) I bust out laughing when I got up to his landing.

He turned purple quit yelling and asked you stupid or something? I said hell no I am hearing impaired, All that noise from you did not mean anything new or informational until you asked me that question quietly. Now there is my rig, you have that load for me?

Silence. We assessed each other. He started to get big like a peacock in his suit and proceeded to lecture me on this that or other. I told him please save that for your new hires. Im here to get steel from you and be damned if I never see you again after it's out of your yard on the road. What is it? Now or later? (Seeing how upset he was for late etc)

20 minutes loaded. He had cooled way down since then and was able to be civil. For a few minutes i summed up my deafness versus trucking and so forth. He said that most of his people dont like to be around him but I was able to deal with him well enough. I just laughed and told him just leave off that cursing and noise and you will be fine. I hate bosses who yell and scream over nothing. He turned purple again....

Sometimes I think that suit likes that behavior a form of stress release or whatever. I never saw him again and that steel was delivered into Texas next morning straight through. What bothered him a lot was I did not seem to hear half the stuff he yelled with great energy. I told him again was that there was no words in there that had any informational meaning that applied to my position of picking up his steel. He thought that over for a minute.

Then pointed to a corner where my three coils sat waiting for me and said "THERES YOUR *&^%$ steel... can you get it with that *&&%$ forklift?"

*&^% yes.

Scares me that the Nation's Commerce and Way of Life runs on very bad language and conflicting personalities among the hearing. When I am with the deaf... the room is quiet like a cloister and if anything was said to you, you were a part of the conversation whatever it was. Sometimes that was the best part of it. The quiet.
