What Books Have You Recently Purchased?

I have recently finished a stint of reading all 11 books of "The Sword of Truth" series. It's an epic fantasy series that's definitely not for kids. I thought it was very good and my attention was easily held through all 11 books.

What might help is if you can provide us with the link to the thread discussing that, or to an article elsewhere.

Laptop Stolen from NTID with Personal Information of Thousands of Us

I got the same letter as well. Called one of the credit agencies to put on a fraud alert, they will call the other two for the same alert as well. I'm crossing my fingers in the hope that the theif reformatted the hard drive to place an OS install on it. Unfortunately, if the theif is smart-...

Does Your Hearing Aid BUZZ On T?

T-coil is also widely known as an induction coil. Pass that induction coil through any electro-magnetic field and it will induce electrical current through the coil, resulting in electronic signals. This buzzing you hear is interference from a nearby electro-magnetic (EM) field. Any kind of...

    Mini-Golf: Geometric Vs. Natural?

When you play like I do (hitting the ball into the air), it doesn't matter if the course is geometric or natural, the result is still the same (hole in one!). ;)

A lot of ADers grew up oral?

I was oral from kindergarten through 8th grade as the only deaf student in the entire school. Then I went to a public high school that had other deaf students, and mainstreamed there. I learned sign language from them and from paying attention to the interpreters.

    Cloverfield

I rented Cloverfield a couple weeks ago, I had no issues with the jumpy picture, no motion sickness. The movie itself was alright, not too bad with the way it went, but also nothing special.

Do you love your hearing aids?

I love my hearing aids, so I can hear the sound of music, and as well hear the sound of nature. Take a walk in early morning near a shore, or through a nature preserve or elsewhere that's quiet. Listen to the breeze rustling over the leaves (and your hearing aid), listen to the birds...

Can someone who is severely deaf talk normally?

I'm severe-to-profoundly deaf, since birth. I've had speech therapy for 12 years, and many hearing people tell me that I sound like a hearing person and they're usually surprised when I tell them I'm deaf. Even some deaf people I've met think I'm just HoH and not actually born deaf, due to my...

theres no music category on all deaf....

Try this, the music is a remix of Beethoven's 9th Symphony, by UNKLE. There's a new, longer version of that remix (trouble in paradise I think), but it's available to the UK market only so far. 4q9aT3Ne65Q If you love the interplay of music and visuals, I highly recommend the movie...
