Hello all As you might remember Im Totally Deaf and thought the world owed me h a ha. I've had rough ride past year, hey!! whats new...Tinnitus in Both ears Doing my head in, it really is... Now waiting for Appointment with Neurologist as Im forgetting things and not silly things either...

Born Parralised because of forcepts delivery and also phneuamonia, Totally Deaf L ear Profound R ear, rest was averaging 2 or more Operations a year from birth to Jan 2012because of infections, including 1 attempt at Cochlear that was stopped as I was about to be put to sleep, I had heart...

hiyi Oh she tries her best, cant fault that, she came to a place with me called LINK its to help people get confidence back after losing hearing etc and help families, but being there I was only Totally Deaf there, rest were H.O.H hearing aids etc..I err dont fancy Divorce after 40 years...

I find it very difficult as much as my wife and I try its hard work, she is hearing and forgets that Im Totally Deaf, Worst time is when there is 3 or more people in sitting room, Its so hard to get a word in, or understand what they on about. As hand are moving, heads move, im continously...

Sorry to say and I still feel the same way, while watching Im thinking, "you Dont really know whats like to be Acquired Totally Deaf" No sign language, not very good lip reading, Cant hear Grandchildren or family, it HARD WORK.. So I cant mix with Hearing world... And cant mix with deaf world...

reminded me Hope you get that discharge sorted though, I had discharge for years and caused Abscess on the brain when I was 19 and again when I was 22 caused by other ear, but Im still here..I was 1st person in UK to have Cavity built after Abscess to stop discharge travelling up again...So...
