I'm a hearing parent and I personally do NOT agree with "fixing" a person using genetic engineering. :) My son is perfection deaf or hearing.

My dog Foxy, enjoys to spend her time opening all the doors of our apartment when we are not home, or when my boyfriend and I are play fighting. She never defends me :'( My bf can be play slapping me and Foxy will still play bite me as well. She also, somehow, gets her bag of treats wherever...

My son's ENT, also the doctor who does the CI, says that all my son needs is an AVT. So I will try it. If it doesn't help then I'll go find the next step. If it helps, Great!!! I'll finally have some sort of communication. My son isn't absorbing a lot of the signs. I plan to keep trying though :)

As soon as I found out about his hearing, I contacted Early Intervention, Deaf and Literacy Academy, and SHINE. I have a speech therapist from early intervention, deaf mentor from the literacy academy, and a coordinator from Shine that comes to my home once a week. I plan on asking Early...

I know there are exemptions to every rule, some autistic children for example. That is very difficult and it takes a lot of work. Other than those few exemptions, the bratty kids need to Shhhhh!
